i use the one from my digital camera, so then i see the pictures on the wii :D and then post my favourites on the m.b its the only use i give it though ._·
i bought a gig 2 months ago just for my wii but i just bought a camera a few days ago but i use my sd card for my camera now but i like to put my sd card in my wii so i can look at my pix.
I dont want to store photo's or upload music so why would I need one? There's tons of space for VC games too unless you want a silly amount, even if you eventually do need more memory whats the point in getting one now? Why not wait until you need it and it'll be much cheaper.
but why cant i save directly to the stupid SD card!!!!:evil: i mean, imagine animal crossing wii, will i have to share the file with my brother only cuz the wii can save directly to a sd card!!!!!!!
i bought a 1 gb sd card from bestbuy for 60$. not knowing that it was just like any other card but said wii on the package. but i did get lucky since i never used it i took it back and got ssxb. i guess i will get a cheap one if i never need it but i dont think i will
Man you guys got ripped off if you bought one of the official Wii SD cards. They are like 40 dollars more expensive than a regular SanDisk SD 2 Gig (got one for like 15 dollars) and they all work just the same.
I have an SD card that I bought the same time as my Wii, but I have no use for it with my wii. Instead it's been solely used for storing photos, and shortly to back up some important files.
Hahaha I love how all these people get iPods because they're the cool pop culture thing to get, then they get screwed by iTunes. Creative Zen is the way to go... much more space for the price. IÂ love mine.
I had an SD card already with a cheap mp3 player I use at work... 1gig. Worked great for Excite Truck, and I also download TV shows, convert them to mpeg, and throw them on the SD card to watch on the Wii.
I bought a 2 GB one off crucial.com for like $40 or something. I never used it and don't see needing it for a while. I gave it to my parents in January. They came up to visit me and asked me to help them get a digital camera. I just gave them my 2 GB SD card since I wasn't using it. Best Buy wanted like $80 for a 1 GB SD card. Ouch!!
I bought a 2 GB SD Card, I use it for viewing pictures, will be using it to store VC games eventually, and MP3's for Excite Truck. It's a good thing that they added that feature, I don't think I woud have clocked in so many hours on that game if they hadn't.

Thats what I do and I copy my VC files to it as well
What for? Don't need it. I supposed one day when I'm close to running out of internal memory space I will. I have one for my camera that I May use to put pictures on my Wii but that's about it.
I don't think you can save a vc game to the sd memory... I tried to move it and it wouldn't let me...Israels_Son
if this is true, i cant believe nintendo didnt think this out better. some people are saying there is more than enough room on 512 mb. that is preposterous. first, one person posted that he has 15 VC games and between those and game saves 75% of the system memory is taken up (no idea how accurate this is). not only that, the VC games out right now are the tip of the iceberg. what about a few years down the road when there are hundreds of games out that people actually want to download? you have to keep deleting them to make space? lame, even if you can re-download for free. its bad enough that the system memory is inadequate, but i cant even use a memory card to store VC games? stupid.
