I used to live in a pretty small town and just about any time you went to the electronics at Wal-Martthe game section was so crowded you could hardly see the games, it was pretty much equal at all of the consoles, but Wii once and a while would have a few less. About 2 months ago I moved to a much larger area and was expecting it to be a nightmare trying to look at games, however, it has actually been the opposite. I don't know if it is because there are more options on where to get them, i.e. Target, Best Buy, Gamestop, Play'n Trade, etc. or what it is, but I'm almost always the only person in the game section. When I went around 2 yesterday (Sunday) there was only one other person and they were just playing the Xbox demos. It is kind of nice though to be able to scan the entire area for anything I want.
I will admit though I find the game section of my new Wal-Mart to feel awkward too. It seems impossible to find anything, they have some games on the main shelf, others in a shelf off to the side and you can only read the side (can't see the front of the cover) the discount games are thrown all overthe place(the other Wal-Mart near me just throws them all into a large bin and you have to dig through them to find anything) The only thing good about the game section is they do have three full displays of Wii games, so there is a good selection, if you can find what you are looking for. My old Wal-Mart had each console separate and then the games were pretty much alphabatized so you could find what you were looking for pretty easily, then the accessories were across the isle from the games, so if you were looking at the Wii games, all you had to do was turn around to find the acceossries and they had a center display with all of the newer $20 games, each console with its own section and then they hada display with $10 games. Older $20 had several shelves in the back where you could go through all the games, again separated by console. It was so much more organized and it seemed so much easier. I'm planning to start ordering most of my games from Amazon. It just seems a lot easier and I guess I can wait on my games a few days :-(
Anyway, back to the question, I don't really see too many people looking at the Wii games. On occassion I will see a few kids, usually around 8 or so, but rarely, if ever are there any other adults looking at the games.
