How to convince people to let me have a Wii

Hi there. Today I decided that I couldn't go without Wii in my life and while I know that the supply is so short that I won't get one until 2020, I still had to have one.

The trouble is that my parents think otherwise. I have a PS3 and PSP and don't get me wrong I love those consoles to bits but I want to combine the games that come out on PS3 (Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, half the games that are out on the 360) with the great fun titles that are on Wii (Mario, Super Smash Bros, Zelda). They think that only one console is acceptable; even getting the PSP was hard work. They won't let me have a Wii unless I

a) get a job - I'm currently looking for one
b) get rid of my PS3 - which I don't want to do because I love it

Basically I need some arguments to swing them that the Wii is a great console and maybe some evidence that proves it, they'd probably only listen to facts. I am prepared to say let my sister have a Wii and then just sneak into her room and steal it off her.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I loved super smash bros as a kid, even super mario 64. But as technology advances, so must the games. No nintendo franchise has ever advanced into the next gen.. or even last gen.

No voice acting? lame levels? No story? No excitement?

Innovations are certainly non-existent, especially for Nintendo. Infact, nothing has changed for them at all since the N64 days. Their graphics today are practically N64 quality, and the games NEVER change. They just seem to be ported from system to system so Nintendo gets their moneys-worth. Oh no! Playing the Wii feels more like a NES to me now. Get with the program now, Nintendo. [/sarcasm]

parents seem to love wii sports let them try it and they will start talking about how bad ps3 is for your health and tell u that if u get a wii they will play sometimes (but they will get tired of the wii in one week).

You know what really helps people see your side of the story? A gun. Just wave that sucker in their faces and you'll have your Wii in no time. Or even better, skip the middle man and just go to the store with the gun. Problem solved. MeEatBrain

You've most likely got a PC in your home as well. You want a second (third?) gaming machine and you dont want to do anything for it beyond bugging your parents?

Get someone to lend you a wii for the week end ...

Get smarty pants, wii sport, wario ware and wii fit ...

Play with your folks ... I can assure you they will buy it themselves !

that is certainly not true, if you check out a N64 game you can easily without a doubt see how different the graphics are compared to a Wii game. Compare Super Smash Bros. for example. Super Smash Bros. Melee's graphics for Gamecube were a huge step up from its original game, now with Brawl coming out, the graphics are getting to a stage where its kinda hard to make mario look any better, Kirby hasn't changed at all from melee but definitly from smash bros. You get your facts straight, you don't know anything.

I DO know things, and I guess you didn't get that the whole first paragragh of my post before this was 100% sarcasm...:| Sorry if I didn't make it sound obvious, people.

I was using sarcasm towards the person who was being biased towards Nintendo in this thread to kinda reason with his dumb logic, and I do not at all believe anything I said in that paragragh as true. Quite the opposite for me, actually.
