First of all, please no dumb comments like" oh well you should threaten him or blackmail him" or anything of the sort well.... because he's a black belt in tae kwon do. ( not saying I would blackmail him anyway though)

Anyway, I don't know how to convince him to buy it. I really, really want this game to get competitive for me, but without even wifi, I can't. I want him to bring some competition into the game. I've tried telling him things like how I'm always right with these things ( he's always had fun with the games I recommend) and such, but this time he just won't get it. So do you people have any ideas Ion what to tell him so he can change his mind?

P.S. I tried that Advance wars over the internet thing, and I didn't know how to play nor do I really want to play advance wars on my computer.

1. Tell him it pwns n00bs.

2. If that doesn't work, don't bother. Someone who doesn't want to play a game won't be a good competitor anyways unless he has a tendency to play turn based strategy games.

Why don't lend him the game and let him play through the single player campaign (assuming you can allow him to use one of your save slots)?

Why not just ask how to convince a friend to get AW instead of typing all that ridiculous stuff down?

Yes it does... but only combat mode which isn't even that great anyway. Playing on vs. on one ds is just lame, since fog of war would be play dumb and there would be no stealth to the game at all. ( I likey stealth)

That's not what he meant......if your friend has a ds, he can download the game and play multiplayer with you.

Yes he can, but we can only play combat together. I go to wireless then hit "download" so I can "send Combat via DS Download Play". That doesn't mean I can play real, turnbased strategy games.

Just tell him that it is, bar none, the best game on the DS and one of those titles where you are guaranteed to get your money's worth and more. You can easily put 100 hours of gametime in if it's your "thing".
