Well from what I know SD cards can be used with Pictures, Memory to store channels and saves, and MP3 music if you're using Endless Ocean to listen to custom music. I never knew you could use an SD card for movies.

you can use wiideo, you just download it on a computer on your network and let it run and in the opera browser on wii enter "your ip address"/index.jsp and it will browse through your computers files and it will convert the movies to flash format for you, its still a pretty early program so its not much right now, the person who wrote it is adding more features and has said they want to eventually let users customize the video options such as file, size bitrate and segments, its a great alternative to using sd cards and its really a media server so you can browse from any web browser on any computer in your network

Yeah I use winamp remote as well but for some reason it will only let me watch 74 mins and 37 secs of a movie which is quite annoying to say the least.

I can shoot videos on my camera and play them on there. I'm not completely sure but I think the maximum a video can be is 10 minutes. But then again you could spilt it up then press right on the d-pad to move on to the next, so I guess movies can be played on it but you'll need a 2GB SD card and I'm not sure if that can even hold a whole movie.

Yup

My favorite thing to do is play the video then play the puzzle game and see how long it takes to "build" the movie from all the pieces.

I watched videos from an SD card on my Wii. It was right in with the pictures. Of course, these videos were straight off of a camera. I don't know if that would be a factor in terms of the type of file.

Wow did you even read through the thread before posting? YES you can store movies in a SD card. For the Wii to read them though you will have to convert them. Quality is not that great but it works. The max size of a SD card the Wii can handle right now is 2GB.
