You most likely will have to get used to using your left hand to aim or else just not play shooters. Chances are not many shooters are coming to the 3DS anyway, if you got an NGP you wouldnt have this problem.

Oh yeah, the gyroscope! Yes, they should definately use that to control the camera on... almost anything, really. The only downside is that you lose the 3D and it makes people look stupid, moving their 3DS around and such.:P

I'm assuming shooters and most games will start using the slide pad to control people in games. If so, games may not allow you to switch to the abxy buttons, therefore having to use your right hand to aim if you want to control it.

I don't know, I'm left handed and that's something I've been trying to figure out.

Aiming with the stylus is the same as pointing your finger, in fact you can use your finger lol. Are you incapable of pointing with your right hand?

I actually find it harder than that. For shooting you need more precise aim, and I can't do that with a hand your not used to using. I also don't like using my finger on the touch screen.

lol it's like a six inch screen, where you simply tap targets, your not performing open heart surgery. Even if you use the pen, it requires very little in the the way of dexterity.

Touché, however I don't think they are being released with the 3DS, I have my old one from my DS somewhere, but for people without it, it doesn't resolve the problem.

For an FPS? The most recent one I've played on the DS is Metroid Prime Hunters, but withthat you're still dragging the stylus across the screen, and if you have any shaky hands at all then it'll be hard to aim.

I agree rail shooters are easy. But unless the controls have changed for FPS's since Metroid Prime Hunters, I would personally disagree that it's easy.

It's like writing, not pointing.

I would really like to see that used in a FPS. Even if it was limited to just aiming with you controlling your position with the D pad or Circle pad. That could be a lot of fun and doable. Though I think we might see more third person shooters modeled after the upcoming Resident Evil games.

I'm also looking forward to see on what they do with the Gyroscope or at least how they take advantage of it. I mean - there's endless possibilities and taking a few pointers from the iPhone or iTouch - you can do a lot with the Gyroscope for games. Would be interesting if they incorporate that with aiming in shooters.
