How would you rate the Wii this year?

It was a weak year IMO seeing as only NSMBW and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories are the only critically acclaimed games. But for me personally I enjoyed the Wii alot more than last year thanks to my cousin who lent me a slew of games I missed out on when they were first released. I'd rate it 8 outta 10 for this year.

This year was good for me, I have picked up some games that I missed out on and I still have to play Punch-Out!! and Excitebots ( if it will ever come to Europa)

So I give it an 8 out of 10.

I'd give it a 7/10. Next year looks like an automatic 9/10.

I have yet to own a PS3 but played Uncharted 2 in best buy it already earns the PS3 an 8.

I think this was the year of niche titles. Madworld, Muramasa, Boy and his Blob, Little King's Story, LostWinds 2, the Bit.Trip series, HotD: Overkill, Excitebots, Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Deadly Creatures, The Munchables, Let's Tap, Klonoa, Broken Sword, Dawn of Discovery, LIT, and Marble Saga: Kororinpa all came out this year.

Plus we have the bigger titles like PunchOut, NSMBWii, The Metroid Prime Trilogy, Beatles Rock Band, Tiger 10 and Wii Sports Resort.

So while there weren't many heavy-hitters this year, the smaller - but still very enjoyable - niche titles really round out the catalog.

I'd rate an 8.5 in terms of how much I got out of the Wii this year. Most people didn't enjoy 2009, but I think it was one of the Wii's best.

8.5/10. Overall a great year, with many fantastic titles.

With SMG 2, Metroid Other M, MH 3, NMH2, TVC, RS2, among others, 2010 is already looking to be a better year. (Sorry for all the abbreviations :P)

Played House of the Dead, Madworld , Another Code: R, Muramasa, Little Kings Story, Dead Space Extraction, Punch Out and still gonna get Mario Bros.

Downloadable stuff : Lost Winds 2 and Contra Rebirth.

2/10. Come on Nintendo, bring on some good games.

You can say what you want about NSMBW and other titles, but there wasn't a title this year that I absolutely had to get. Pretty disappointing for me. I love my Wii, but where's Starfox, F-Zero, Donkey Kong, or any real titles?

If they took F-Zero, made it great online, and had it ready in a few months, it'd be the number one selling game for the year for the Wii. 1 game. All it takes is a little effort here guys.

Of all the games that came out I only bought two (Madworld and NSMB) because everything else just did not interest me. I thought Madworld was terrible and NSMB was awesome.

Agreed, I bought it full-price and it's hands down the most regrettable game buy for me this year. I'll never trust a sales clerk's advice ever again.
