SMG is one that'll come up on this post over and over again. As for a 2nd game, hm...I haven't really found a definite buy for the 2nd tite. I bought Zack and Wiki which is pretty awesome.
well since you are already waiting till christmas just wait a week or so to decide, a lot more reviews should be in by then (and if you want MOH you should wait a little longer just so people here can get the game and then we can see if online works well once thousands of people get online)

Definatly Mario Galaxy but the second one is a choice between Zak and Wiki and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. You can't go wrong with either. And don't let Zak and Wiki's art style fool you it is extremely hard and rewarding. :D

If that's the way you feel then definatly get Galaxy and Medal of Honor. :) Though you are missing out on Zak and Wiki. :P
Of course you have to get Super Mario Galaxy no explanation needed. But how about DBZ Tenkaichi 3? It supposed to have the most characters in the history of fighting games. You know if your into that sort of thing.
