But it really depends on how populated your area is, and how high the demand is around there. So I'd say, around 8 would be a good time. But bring something to do if you do go early.
Do you really want a Wii? If so then an hour wait before the store opens won't kill you if you're really trying to get one. Better to be there early and have to wait, then get there late and not get a Wii.
In order to avoid disappointment, I would suggest getting there earlier than you think you need to: 6am would be safe. Much better to wait in line an extra hour or two and go home happy than to arrive five minutes too late and go home empty handed.
Go at 8. They're basically telling you that if you arrive to late there will be a line and the vouchers will run out before you can get yours. So if you arrive early and are the first one there you'll be guaranteed a voucher. So just do that. One hour won't kill you, just bring a DS or something to keep you busy.
Go as early as you can. Take a portable or a music player and chill. What else are you going to do at 6 in the morning, besides sleep.
I got lucky with my Wii. Was walking through WalMart's game section just as an employee pulled 2 out of a box to put on the shelf. This was before Christmas.

I waited 20 hours for my Wii in below freezing temps. Just go at 8 or even 7:45 . I don't know how the lines are but just get there early to be safe. It was worth my 20 hour wait in the cold outside best buy, so it's very worth it for a 2 hour wait.

Go look again, but pay attention. You can buy it yes, but it is not sold by Amazon. Resellers sell it through Amazon.
If you look at the 'Availability' line it says available from these sellers. Amazon is being the middleman. You can buy the 360 and PS3 directly from Amazon, on the other hand.
Another helpful tip, wait for department stores like Zellers for their flyer to come out. The day is comes out, the day they get more Wii's as long as they're being advertised, which they always are. That's how I got mine.
i almost got killed when i wentbuy my wii on the first day it came out...the wii´s whore on the end of the store...i beat the world record of 100 meterson the moment the doors of the malloppened8)....many didn´t make it..:cry:...but i with 310 euros on my pocket run like i wild mustang...and i made ithome with one wii and one copy of the legend of zelda TP....oneminute of silent for those who didn´t make it on that day after...;)
Well for me, i just called in and asked and they had 3 left. So i picked one up (i called when it was 15 minutes after there shippment). So i guess i was lucky.
