I am thinking about getting a DS. I just want to know what everyone thinks about the system so far. Is it worth spending all my money for? Are the games out now good enough to buy it for? etc etc etc...

It's an amazing system for all ages. The games kick arse, and the system is solid overall.

Can't go wrong with buying one.

Stop thinking about it and buy one already. It's amazing and incredibly fun, especially when other friends have one as well.

I've got one and its a solid system that I take everywhere. I've really enjoyed the games for the DS, a good variety of genres and retro games. the batt lastes a long time, but wireless seems to drain it a bit faster. The dual screens are each a good size and the tiny extras are nice too. Alarms, calendar, etc etc.

The games that I've been playing and seriously fun is:MarioKart, SuperMario, Adavanced Wars, and Final Fantasy 3. Some silly but really fun games like Brain Age and Cooking Mama. A few that I haven't checked out yet is the Pokemons series, SNK vs Capcom, and Castlevanias. Soon, you'll have Zelda, Final Fantasy XII, and a wireless web browser!

Honestly, it is worth getting right now. Good portable system with great games (if they are the genre of games you like). Good luck!

It's a very good system. Some people think of it as childish or gimmicky, but I have the PSP and the DS, and I find myself spending more time playing the DS. The DS has much better game support.

I got an old DS, and just a few days ago I went out and got a DSLite. So it's worth it enough for me to have two.
The DS has some good good games for it, I think it's worth the price you have to pay for it.

And if you do get it, make sure you pick up Pokemon Diamond or Pearl.

It's only down-side is that it's FPSes are limited to Metroid Prime Hunters, and one or two other "Not that good games". This means that MPH is not one of those "Not that good games". MPH almost reverses the lack, in fact.

Yeah, just get the DS. It has plenty of variety, just look for a genre you like, and find a good game in the genre.

It was worth every penny I spent and I upgraded to the Lite when it came out. Its just a sleek and fun little system. Not to mention with the wireless connectivity you wont have to play by yourself! Isuggest you give it a shot.
