I can't believe this!

I was looking at Gamestops website and it says. Boogie and Mario Kart Wii are going to be $59.99, Wii fit is going to be $69.99,and Guitar Hero III is going to be $89.99.

Is Nintendo really going to make games 60 bucks or is Gamestop just exhaterating.? Cause it doesn't say big games like SSBB and Galaxy are going to be 60...

I think the board is worth $50 by itself. Technology-wise, its pretty impressive. A WiiMote is $40.

They had a lot of Wii games listed at 59, which then released at 49. It isn't official. Mario Kart will probably be 50 dollars. WiiFit and Guitar Hero come with electronic peripherals, not the cheap plastic wheel that Mario Kart comes with.SmashBrosLegend

We'll that's part of making a profit, seeing that Super Smash Bros. Melee was a big hit and still sells for '$29.99', including Double Dash.

I believe that those are just preliminary prices, excluding GH3 because as Duckman said it comes with the guitar. Those games are far away enough that usually prices of any kind will be applied to some titles just to get them into their systems. That way it's accessible and referencable. Just a guess but I also managed a Gamstop for three years. Sounds about right.

Games are 40 pounds in the UK which is 80 dollars, consider yourselves lucky...

Oh and anyway all those games come with something, the balance board, guitar (Sants412, its not a bit of plastic have you seen the ones for GH3? they're pretty advanced) mario kart has a steering wheel, boogie a mic.

UK has it pretty bad as well. My friend went to UK and said every thing was expensive and there were no free refills. Guess that's why europeans aren't as fat as americans lol.

The steering wheel? I think they already said it comes FREE with the game, meaning not money consuming, so that should be taken out of the price

A free wheel, like what gt pro series came with.

The Guitar isn't just a plastic shell. There is a good bit of wiring that goes into it if not a complete board. Also, I'm wure that the area for the wiimote input has some sort of twisting device or spring loaded something so that the connection can be made between the remote and the guitar AND keep it secure in the guitar during more animated sessions. The last thing Nintendo wants is more wiimotes flying across living rooms.

The Balance Board is also a hefty piece of hardware for what it does as well as being the first to do what it does. The price is going to be bigger because the R&D involved to put something like this out. WiiFit might not be as big as some full titles, but it sounds like there is a lot there. Even saying $45 Balance Board and $25 for the game itself seems very reasonable to me.

I don't know much about the Kart steering wheel, but it doesn't look big enough to be the shell that has been going around. I imagine that is going to have some electrical work in it as well. Again, somewhat new product with R&D involved.

I think that you'll find that these prices are priceholders that are, more or less, right on the money. I believe it and support it. You aren't just getting great games so don't think that something about this game breaks the mold and is going to drive up the cost of Wii products.

Uhh whoever says stop complaining cause the prices are going up... What do you expect from me. It's natural for people to complain when prices go up. Just look at people and gas. If your game prices suddenly shot up, i'm pretty sure you would care.

And for Mario Kart I agree if they are forcing the price to go up because of the wheel. And you don't even need the wheel, well that's just ripping people off.
