I dont understand why nintendo cant show a screen shot from like the new zelda or starfox, or pikmin, kid icarus... the list goes on and on.... like the games arent devoloped enough? myamoto said "core games take time" were not expecting any realease right now. But it would be nice to see some info on games, which im pretty sure they can provide sum.

They usually like to reveal info and such when a game is near completion.

well star fox and kid icarus don't exist, so it's reasonable for there not to bee screen shots of them.

The new zelda and pikmin are probably so eraly in development that there isn't any progress to show yet

The Wii 2 (That name is so stupid) has always been in development. Just like how the original Wii's development started in 2001. Who cares if it's in development, it's still not coming for a couple years.

Nintendo is a different company than they were in the Gamecube era. They no longer need to hype upcoming games. Their consoles and games will sell regardless. Don't expect them to show a Zelda trailer 2 and a half years before release like they did with Twilight Princess.

The games are coming. Nintendo only shows off their games when they are almost ready for release and when they are ready to be played. They said so at E3.

Who cares about pictures? What does that help? All that does is generate hype, something that Nintendo's first-party games don't need. Besides, years of hype can only lead to disappointment (Wind Waker, Sunshine, Twilight Princess, MP3, SPM, etc.), so what's the point?

They confirmed that the games are in development, why do you need more? What good can possibly come out of that?

Like he said, it does nothing but generate hype that ends up as disappointment (SSBB says hi). We know it's in develpment and being surprised by the game is better then getting so hyped it ruins the game.

What is a screen going to do for you, except build unneeded hype? The game is not going to come any sooner or later. Play the games out now and anticipate the games coming this Fall. Don't worry about games that are years away.

I'm saying I'm not that desperate that I absolutely need to see a screenshot. It's a picture of a video game...how does that enhance my experience when I sit down and play the game?

I ruined Mario Galaxy for myself because I hyped it up by watching videos, looking at screenshots, and reading previews. Same thing happened with hundreds of thousands of kids who hyped up Twilight Princess.

The game is coming, don't worry. And it's going to be just like the rest of them, with updated graphics, some kind of new gimmick, just like it always has. If that doesn't excite you, then I don't know why a picture would be any different.

Nintendo is all about suprises. Also nintendo is getting sued for everything they got and if they lose the case microsoft will be the king of games. They might be fearing that they are getting our hopes up if they stop making games...

Kid Icarus exists, it's just being developed outside of Nintendo most likely. I'm not grasping at straws here, I really don't care either way but Miyamoto in an interview said "I'm not the producer on that project" that's not something you say about a game that simply doesn't exist.

Ok, Ive got something that has bothering me... Isn't anyone the least bit worried that Nintendo will do what EA is doing right now? Meaning releasing games that are bad and they sell. Most people will disagree with me big time, but there is that lingering doubt, that Nintendo is back on top with the Wii and that it has held off the 360 and the PS3 for months, that they will continue to let shovelware slip by and be released, and that they themselves will make games that lack character. Because they figure that no matter how bad they are, the crap games always sell. So, does anyone think that Nintendo's quality will slip?

He never said he didn't want it. He specifying why it didn't happen. Also they have announced titles for two of their games. One will have Mario in the title and one will have Zelda in the title. Nintendo have spoken and said they will not show any game until its close to release.

Just relax, play the games you have, buy the '08 releases you want, then count to 10. Then Nintendo will release the hardcore games.

hype isn;t good because consumers will just be let down when said game doesn't meet their expectations. Brawl updates and Twilight Princess updates excited me like no other... I was not disappointed with the final products but I wasn't in awe. :?

that was a rumor that wii 2 is in development, not fact!

until nintendo reveals anything wii is what we got , and, um didnt they just give us mariokart wii and ssbb this year

dead rising coming

timesplitters 4 comin g

star wars -clone wars coming

and more

they just cant keep giving ouit all their guns, all at once lets look at microsofts first party line up for the rest of the year and youll see what i mean

fable 2

and baNJO KAZOOIE,

i wont even bring 3rd party because all 3 consoles have 3rd party

iwhat about sony,

metal gear 4

and resistance 2 ,, in my eyes all 3 consoles are equal in terms of first party titles, even if not , wii is still great

mariokart lasts for ever, ,, dr mario also just came out on wii ware nintendo likes to suprise not blow their cover,

they know others will try and capitalize on their ideas

and doctores nintendo is only being sued for gc controllers wave birds and classic controllers, theyll have to revise these, also note they no longer sell gc stuff so thats all gonna be thrown out ,

classic controllers are the only thing nintendo is really losing on ,

not everything they have lol , that be stupid.

that would be dismissed in a heart beat

Perhaps that is because they don`t have anything definitive to show us. But you never know why they hide those things.

They don't like showing off games much until they are near completion or everyone gets overhyped like they did for ssbb and they get let-down.

exactly. they said the mario and zelda teams are working, and also said there were so many games they could only show a few. so if they are barely started making it and people see screenshots, they will be waiting for a while and the hype will be built up so much that it could never live up to expectations.

I do hope people realize that first off all, Star Fox has been in the works for awhile and I'm tired of digging up the link where they are talking about and how they are doing it right this time by using the same team that did Star Fox 64. Secondly Nintendo has already confirmed they are working on their next console, however its not going to be the Wii 2 they've told us. I even think there was a news post here on GS about it.

Back on topic though, Nintendo doesn't like to show off games until they are near completion and there is actually something to show beyond the same level or a couple of screenshots. I'm actually really surprised with Nintendo this generation with how much info they've given us months and months before a game actually comes out, just look at all the hype they built up with the Super Smash Bros. Brawl site. Nintendo has gotten alot better when it comes to keeping us informed and up to date about what is going on with its games, and I'd much rather have more to go on than "GUESS WHA!!!! WE GOT -insert random sequel here- AND ITS GUNNA B HEAR IN LIKE 1 AND A HALF YEARS!!!! AWESOME!!!!". Nintendo is doing us justice right now and they've delivered alot more than Sony has when it comes to games promised. If you look at the list of games we got compared to others we are sitting pretty good right now for not even having 2 years under out belt.

Thus far I'm content with what Nintendo is doing, and sure I'm tired of hearing about casual games but its certainly better than seeing a game in 2005 and still not even having a solid release date set yet.

Kid icarus does exist, but its being done by a 3rd party studio or something... its kinda like how Rare worked.

Kid Icarus?! Why would anyone want that? The nes version was trying to be a combination of Castlevania, Metroid, and Mario.

Because it was one of the best NES games, maybe? It's also something new that we haven't seen in a while.

Does it really matter? You know the games are coming anyway, and a few measly screenshots aren't going to bring much hype.
