I feel like playing a new zelda...

iv mastered wind waker, occorana, tp, phantom houre glass, ect... enuph times. dose anybody know if there is even a hint of a new zelda game any time soon?

What are these games you just mentioned?

I know Zelda but I didn't know these games. And Miyamoto did confirm that a new Zelda is being developed.

aww man, i loved MM. i've noticed that i seem to be in a shocking minority in thinking that the mask system was like the coolest thing ever. then again, that 3 day time cycle did get a bit annoying...

We all do. Unfortunately Nintendo announced today that the next (still untitled) Zelda will be delayed until Q2 2011. Full report here.

I just started to replay the whole series in chronological order (with the timeline I found most accurate) while waiting for the new Zelda for Wii. So I already finished Minish Cap 100% and I'm now moving onto Four Swords (with my girlfriend), then comes my favourite OoT!

EDIT: I agree about MM, it's my second favourite Zelda. The dark theme and the 3 day mechanic definitely made it a great addition to the series and one of the most original games out there.

Yeah, but he said that BEFORE Minish Cap and Four Swords were released. Minish Cap is obviously the first game (Triforce not even mentioned yet, the reason Link got his trademark cap, no Ganon, the way monsters were released in the world), 99% of the time lines agree on that.Axass

I think you're confused, Moblins are Ganon's minions (Darknuts are the walking armors), but nowhere it says that Ganon created them (same applies for Darknuts btw), so they could've been around before he was born. Eiji Aonuma said himself that Four Swords was gonna be the very first story, and since Minish Cap MUST come before it, than Minish Cap is supposed to be the first. Think about it, everything in the game plus a quote for the second most important guy involved in Zelda's games point to it being the first.

Also, in Majora's Mask Ganon wasn't there because Link ended up in the alternative reality called Termina. Finally, the triforce is mentioned in Minish Cap: it is mentioned as a golden light (which Vaati searches for at one point without success) in a way that makes you think that it existed but nobody knew about it yet.

And then soon enough the second great Hylian war took place.

Also Nintendo could have changed the timeline since OoT.

My own theory has OoT after AlttP but its fits in perfectly with everything else, Miyamoto's statement cannot really be used as justification today after all the additions and changes to the overall story of Zelda.
