I get the feeling that rabbids go home is going to sell very poorly.

The rabbid games usually are pretty popular, and while ubi has made a great game with rabbids go home, they can't expect to just change the genre and drop multi-player and expect the casual rabbid audience to jump on board. I think they would had been much better off keeping the rabbids games as mini game collections, but instead just try to make them better.

There's nothing wrong with rabbids go home, its a fun game, I just see it flopping sales wise despite it's franchise's name.

Well first of all I've seen no advertising for this game, TV Party had a slew of commercials last year. I personally wont be getting this game since I don't like the way the gameplay looks with the shopping cart, too fast I like to explore the worlds, same reason I don't like Sonic game that much.

I have no ideia about the numbers but I think ubisoft is doing something wrong.... again...

Much like Splinter Cell they've saturated people with the franchise. Remember how popular Splinter Cell was back in the original Xbox? What did they do? Made too many Splinter Cell games, one after the other, looking for the easy sequel profit and people got tired of it. They drained the pipe instead of saving something to make Splinter Cell franchise also profitable and anticipated in the X360/PS3.

About changing the core gaming experience of the rabbids, i don't know if it affected sales, but they also did that with Prince of Persia. The fans i know of the Sands of Time version(s) just lost all interest in this new design.

So, here's the cliche: bigmoney 3rd party publishers have no ideia what they're doing.

depending on how it turns out, I'm more worried about Red Steel 2 tbh. It seems to be a drastic revamp of the series, and gives it hope imo.

If it doesn't sell along with Rabbids, you might as well kiss Ubi goodbye just like EA. I just wish they gave us more mature games like they have on the other two systems, but I'm just going to have to buy one in order to enjoy their products.

I'm still upset about the disclussion of blood in RS2. Luckily, the art style made up for it

Yeah! And as good as Rabbids Go Home looks, I won't be satisfied until Rayman 4 is released!

That's because it's a Rabbids game and not a RAYMAN game! Helloooo Ubisoft wtf are you doing!?!!

They really need to get back on the ball and make Rayman 4.

Already has, so.....you fail? To the TC, according to VGChartz, the game has sold over 100,000 copies in just 3 weeks. Compare those sales to the other games in the series and you see a pattern. The game will have a long lifespan, and will continue to hit at least 10,000 copies for the next few months. The game will do fine.

Exactly, the "casual Rabbid fans" won't look much into it and could definitely buy it expecting a similar game to the others. Perhaps the game could even assist some of them in crossing over into more hardcore stuff. I personally think a great move for Ubisoft would be to make a new Rayman platformer, maybe have the Rabbids as an enemy or something. It could please the hardcore gamers and the gamers crossing over using Rabbids Go Home as an intro could buy it by association. Huge sales, everyone's happy. Sounds smart to me.

Thats what I was thinking and I have seen advertisement for it. The only thing is, its going up against the multiplayer ready NSMB which could put a dent in its sales. [QUOTE="danger_ranger95"]

Who cares about EA, they were half assing it anyway. Something you don't want is the same thing as nothing at all. Thier failure is thier own fault. Rabbids is taking on a sales juggernaut in NSMB Wii so Ubi had to count on that. With RS2, thats going to be a tough sale, they will really have to create a demand because many people are sour on the series after the first one.

If I were them, I'd change the name shorty before launch and do some TV ads. Drop the Red Steel name entirely.

It's sad really.

As soon as anyone tries to develop a fun, unique and new game on the Wii it fails.

People ask why the Wii gets awful game after awful game after awful game from third party developers on the Wii, the reason is that those sell.

rabbids go homeis the best game in the series, but holy hell, it did not live up to expectation of being a 'comedy adventure'. But it *is* the best entry - which isn't saying much. The other titles were too novel and only good for rentals. At least this has a little bit of fleshing of ideas. But it suffers the same minigame-itis problems of the other games.

But it'll sell well. I can feel it in my waters.

i'm not sure how well the previous ones sold, but i'd say this one will sell just as much.
