Umm I don't have battery problems at all 1 yes I'm not sure if you have to pay yet but you go on Wii shop channel and then go to Wii ware and download.

2. yes but there is no point it doesn't damage your wii in any way standby is called Wiiconnect24 to turn it off go to options in the home menu

1.Yes, log on to the virtual console channel . It should still be free.

2.Read your manual.

3.Turn off the volume and/or vibration.

if u dont like rechargeable batteries for whatever reason best buy also sells a pair of rechargeable battery packs (with charge station) for around 30 dollars. works great. being connected all the time doesnt hurt your wii at all so i dont know why u wouldnt want to have it connected all the time (also that way u would never get to see the awesome slot light in action) oh if only they gave the option to have the slot illumination on all the time and turn OFF when u get a message from someone. and wii browser has been explained.

1. I'm assuming that you have a wireless router in your house. Create a network connection from the Wii settings menu. After you're done, go into the Wii shop channel. You'll download the Opera browser from there. I advise you to hurry up. You have 6 days left before Nintendo begins to charge money for it....June 30th to be exact.

2. I don't believe so. Standby mode is for Wiiconnect24 so that the console can download updates from the internet automatically even if the console is powered down.

3. Really? I haven't noticed. But then again, i also just purchased my Wii under a week ago and haven't started to use it that heavily yet. I've just been checking out the web browsing for the last few days. Batteries are cheap these days and you can always get rechargeable ones so no biggy. P.S. You'll love the web browser. It's so easy and intuitive. It also happens to be imho the fastest if not one of the fastest web browsers in the world, unlike the Ps3 and PsP web browsers. You'll really love it.

"Cheerio", enjoy the Wii homie, I know i will.

Nice one, I got mine exactly 1 week ago:)

1.you can download the web browser for free (i did it the other day) from the shop cahnnel

2. the only way i can think of to turn it off properly and not put it on stand by is pull out the plug for the mains, it save electricity and i do it with all my consels and tv every night:)

Yeah to save the batteries turn down oroff the volume and if you want to turn off the vibration. Also you could get recharagable batteries?
