What's the best way to spend? I have the old NES Marios, the castlevanias, and some other games, including Super Metroid, Super Mario RPG and And Yet it Moves. Just wondering what else I should consider? I like all types of games but my favorites are RPGs adventure and Platformer. I was thinking maybe Cave story?

If you enjoyed Castlevania and Super Metroid you'll enjoy Cave Story, however I would recommend downloading the free version, the paid version isn't much of an improvement. Lost Winds 2 is a good platformer, and very metroidvania esque in its design, so might want to check that out.

Somewhat, the IR pointer is used to control the wind, drawing a circle will make cyclone, drawing a line between a fire and a torch will guide the fire to the torch, etc, but the similarities end there.

Sorry to a few of you... I should have listed more games I've played.

Already played Super Mario World and Ocarina of Time, most Mario platformers, all Zeldas.

I've seen a few recs for Lost Winds. I'll check them out.

Have you played Paper Mario for the N64, that's an RPG and a really good game, possibly my second favorite N64 game (after Conker's Bad Fur Day).

Sin & Punishment. Fits perfectly into those 1200 points. If you want Cave Story, it's legit freeware on PC, with an enhanced, payware "Cave Story+" version floating around on Steam (and one of the older Humble Indie Bundles). Definitely check it out if you love Metroidvania games.

You have to get at LEAST one of the Donkey kong Country games if you're a Platformer fan. I would go with 2, it's got a lot of improvements over the first and has some of the best music in any Platformer ever.

So much for getting something that uses all those points neatly, unless there's a 1200-point combo I'm overlooking. If shmups are your thing and you're not a Neo-Geo purist willing to shell out hundreds on an NGCD copy or thousands on the even rarer MVS carts, you might want to check out Ironclad.

World of Goo costs 1500 I think, but it's the best wiiware game.
