I am having tons of fun so far, tons of action and lots of variety. This doesn't seem anything like the first. Is this just because of the wii motion plus that this is so good? I don't remember using my sword unless forces into it, but I'm slicing and dicing all the time. This seems totally different, I guess I'm basically just saying WOW!

i think they gave use to many hidden moves and kusagari powers. the tiger, the bear..etc

maybe just give use 3 really cool ones and that it... like throwing your oppenent up then shooting him in the air.

less confusin..

zelda only taught you like 4 or 5 moves from the skeleton warrior so that wasnt too bad.

Ok, so I put thius game down for a while and forgot all the moves. Is there a way to train on moves I've already learned?

I agree. It's not without it's flaws, but it's still super fun. Things that could be better IMO:

- Too many special moves. Less is more sometimes.

- lame story, lame acting.

- It's not a true FPS, so why use FPS controls? I often find my self looking up at the sky spinning as I get myself rearranged after a fight. I actually have in my mind a much better control set-up that doesn't even use the nunchuck that I feel would had made for a much better game...though it's a radical idea and I'm sure most would hate the simple notion of it.

I'm hoping this will be the start of many more Wii titles using the motion+ to improve the games.

Yeah its a fantastic game but there are just a few problems I've had with it.

As mentioned previously:

1. Average Story and poor voice acting

2. Too short!

But also I found the mission design pretty basic in the sense that the missions feel very unconnected from each other. A bit like a series of random tasks you have to complete. But overall Red Steel 2 was a brilliant game and a much needed improvement from the original

Documentation apparently is a problem in the game. Move descriptions need to say how to do the move, what it does, and how it's classified.

I use the moves as necessary. It helps if you get a "3D" sense of where Kusagari is in relation to his enemies. Using the Matador going in the right direction is a godsend for avoiding enemy attacks. I would have liked more moves, actually.

Moves:

The Rush - press A, then stab forward. Great for getting in close to your enemies. Alternatively, great for getting out of a tough enemy's area quickly. Just Z-target a weaker enemy elsewhere (usually a gun-toting one) and rush away.

The Guillotine - double A for jumping, then slash down. Also a rushing move, it's great for avoiding enemy fire while closing in. Slightly higher refractory than The Rush. Might not be a good idea to use this to rush foes who can block. Guillotine + horizontal attack is a knockdown combo.

The Matador - hold left or right, press A, then slash horizontally. Great for stepping around groups of enemies, and for avoiding melee attacks to a side. Has a decent range and has limited rush value. Gets around forward blocks and can target vulnerable areas in the back. Great against Jackal Elites.

The Storm - tap Z, then horizontal slash - all around attack. Good reaction for when being melee-attacked from the rear. Stuns enemies and opens for a Rush follow-up. Good for getting out of being crowded - Z to Storm, then use The Rush or The Matador to get out.

The Ram - press A, then slash down. Relatively weak attack but breaks guard. Great for those pesky ninja and Kazakura. Use The Ram, the follow up with The Rush, then Matador.

The Crush - hold back, then press A, then slash down. Powerful attack with decent range that completely removes light armor in one hit. Great surprise move when you're backing up.

The Reaper - hold back, then press A, then horizontal slash. Powerful attack that removes armor. Great range, good for rushing armored foes who are vulnerable to horizontal attacks.

The Shot - press A, then B. "Stabbing" attack with a gun at point-blank range. Never found it that useful, but entertaining as a finisher.

The Eagle - Charge, then gesture up. Basic move, for the kicks.

The Bear - Charge, then gesture down. All around useful knockdown move. Great on nearly everything.

The Dragon - Charge, then frisbee. Good for putting distance. Great against Jackals. Not so great against ninja.

The Cobra - hold B, aim, then release. Very strong. Like a Megabuster cannon! Kills ninja like nothing. So good.

The Tiger - hold A, then gesture forward with Wiimote and nunchuk. Very powerful counter-move than stuns foes. Great on most Elites.

Well you can't go do the training with Jian whenever you want but here's what you can do:

You can perfrom any special move at any time. You don't need to be in a battle or have an enemy to perform it on. And the options menu has a move list of every move you've learned. So just go through the moves list and try them ot when you're not fighting anybody.

I love games that are too short. When I bought Twilight Princess I went straight to playing on thursday, didn't touch it all saturday and then turned it in to game stop on monday and said it was too short, then noticed my file said it had 52 hours on it, that is the too short kinda game I like. I was so cought up with the game I lost track of time.
