I just won a Wii

I just won a Wii on Ebay and I wanted to know if I need to by anything that isn't already included in the box. Right now I think I need component cables for my HDTV, extra controller, and of course games. Is there anything else I need like memory cards, etc.

yeah, you need an SD card, Wii Games (get Excite Truck and WarioWare), extra controller is nice, get a pair of those silicon wii-mote gloves (they help not to throw your contoller at your TV when sweating yer ass off!)

HD cables don't really do much. I have tried it myself and saw no huge difference. The Wii isnt meant to be HD, just fun :)

No. It has internal flash memory of 512 MB

Hence the need for a SD card. You can always find a really cheap deal on one at slickdeals.net (sometimes free for 1 or 2 GB) And a 1 or 2GB is PLENTY for the system to hold what you need it to hold.

Thats enough. You will need a lot of memory for the VC games, but once you pay for them, you can redownload them as many times as you want for free...so there's no need for SD cards imo

You shouldn,t need an sd card for a while,ive got 7 wii games, 5 vc games and have downloaded all the available channels and still have not filled the 512mb of internal memory.

Id say the most important wii product to get after an xtra mote and nunchuk and games is a classic controller as there are certain vc games that u can ONLY use with the cc.
