I've always wondered how hard it could've been to make the Classic Controller compatible with Gamecube games. It's not like there's different buttons, they've just been moved around. And yeah, I'd like to see that.
...I'd really like to see Metroid Prime 1 and 2 re-released with Wii controls. Anyone else?The_Pig_Hostage
I would buy them both for sure. I never got to play MP1 or 2, as I never had a GC. I've been wanting to get them now that I have a Wii, but I cannot stand playing FPS games with a game pad. If they rereleased these games with updated wiimote controls, I would be all over them.
I'm actually not sick of ports and remakes. I'm just sick of half-assed/lame ones. And yes I think that would be cool and I would get it since I haven't played them yet (owned a PS2) and I don't wanna play 3 until I beat the first two.teh_VU
you know you could buy both for about $28.60 (USD).
No thanks. The GC controls work fine and they'd have to change the game a lot to work with the new scheme.

It's impossible because the Wii doesn't emulate GC games.

That's my problem too. Although I'm sure the controls work great, the Wii's are just way more intuitive.

Beaten 'em already, time to move on. Nintendo is in serious need of new gmaes right now, and this is hardly what fans of metroid want.kittykatz5k
Indeed.
maybe a "metroid prime & prime 2: echoes" pack, with changes only in the controls (a bit of visual changing wouldnt be bad, but wouldnt be a must)...
nintendo would get some good money with it... but excluding mario advance, and the cIassic NES series, i dont remember many ports...
i dont remember many ports...BrunoBRSAre you serious? Really. are you serious?
The Gothfather Blackhand Edition, Scarface The World is Yours, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Okami, Resident Evil 4, The Sims 2 and its expansions, Baroque, Bully: Scholarship Edition, Geometry Wars, Puzzle Quest, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, Guitar Hero 3, I don't even know what else but this list doesn't even include the ports from other countries (Rygar is one game that was supposed to be ported from a PS2 version, I read online) and the games that are multi-platform games that pretty much may as well be considered ports. The point is, a LOT of Wii games are ports. Case closed.

I think he might of been talking about ports of Nintendo games only...

Nintendo ports their games all of the time. That is why we see Ocarina of Time, Super Mario Bros., all of these games being re-released in new formats. Please Log In to post.
