i need DS help please

so i just got a DS a few days ago and i love it! BUT i have some questions. 1. i dont understand the whole friend code thing. do i have to enter in a friend code in the game or do i do it in the startup menu or what? and 2. i dont understand the pictochat thing, do i need friends for that too?

oh and in case you were wondering i got planet puzzle leauge and pokemon pearl. both games are awesome IMO

you have to have wifi for friend codes to work. (that's all i know) as for pictochat it's only for local wireless use (about 50ft)

ooooh ok. so how do i find out what my friend code is? are there different friend codes for different games?

Actually the pisctochat works with more than 50 feet apart, ive heard 300 feet even works!av10

Read the manual. If the game has friendcodes the damn manual explains the wifi gaming and how it is used.

Seriously it ain't that hard to figure out from a reading of the manual. That is why they put them in the game cases. So you don't ask stupid crap wasting people's time.
