1) depends on the game...but mostly no. give it a go though, its something new and different. ive found it quite easy to get used to and miss using it for alot of games now. u can use a normal controller with mario kart though.
2) why would they? it would completly undermine the wiimote and nunchuck. other consoles dont come out with 2 controllers and universally support them...why should the wii be any different?
3) i use it mostly as a single player console (i dont play multiplayer very much) and i have no complaints.
4) not really no. theres a bit of getting used to the wiimote and nunchuck but if u can use a mouse in a PC game then ure off to a good start. motion sensing is quite intuitive in most games.
5) the Virtual console does offer games for the N64, snes, nes, turbografix 16, sega mega drive and neo geo and new games are added weekly. whether itll eventually get every game ever for all those platforms is unknown....but the library is already quite extensive. as for the gamecube.....u need to buy the gamecube game itself (ie the disc). u will also need a GC controller and memory card. gamecube games will not work with the classic controller, nor will they save to the wiis internal memory.
6) setting it up to play online is easy and i havent had any major problems with online play or the shopping channel. its certainly reliable in my experience. online play in alot of games is lacking on wii though. mario kart is the wiis best example of an online game...but it still lacks communication between playes which makes it a pit of a damp squib. hopefully ninty sort this out for future games.
