I suggest you make your decision quickly. If you decide that you want a Wii later, it might not be there anymore. The shortage is far from being over...NWA_31
agreed, i've been looking for one for weeks now.Â
Graphics havent all been that bad.....just ubi-softs trash they have thrown at us. Sonic, Rayman, and even Godfather show promise on where they can take the wii.

I have both a 360 and Wii...graphics aside the wii is much mroe fun to play all in all. Xbox live is the only edge i give it and you have to pay for it .
if you get a wii now there are enough games to keep you busy until the new wave of games come out in the next 6-12 months.Â
>why developers aren't making good graphical games for wii? its more powerful than xbox.
In recent articles, developers said that the graphic power of the Wii is less than XBox. Wii is close to Xbox, though. I think it's probably hard to really compare the two in reality.
I do have a Wii and think it's the best choice out of the consoles out there for the fun factor in a small package. I know people that have tried playing it and wanted to get it and others still looking to buy one. As for whether to buy it, I would say buy it knowing that it's a fun little machine that gets you involved with the game (some successful, others not) with more of a cartoony slant to graphics. If you are looking for next gen graphics, look elsewhere.
but last generation, nintendo has the system with the best graphics, but no one cared. I think nintendo went a different way so hey could get more third party support because of the novelty of the motion controls. They can worry about graphics with their next system when they have a strong backing. but regardless of the graphics, the system is a lot of fun, you probably messed up by not buying one... now you have to wait again>why developers aren't making good graphical games for wii? its more powerful than xbox.

I think you have that slightly wrong. The article I read stated that the Wii is a bit MORE powerful than the original XBOX, not a bit LESS. But you are right, the fun factor alone makes the Wii a great purchase if your looking for something other than the norm. You are lucky to have saw some in the stores but you made a mistake by not picking it up then and there. When you go back (If you go back), most likely they won't be there anymore and you will be S.O.L for a couple of weeks... maybe even months,
lly, the problem with the graphics is more in the style of programming. The Wii uses TEV's which are little programs of code to make special effects and other such things... where as ps3 and xbox use a style that is closer to programming for a PC. Which is why PC games and 360 games and PS3 games can all be ported to each other with a simple layer of compatibility programmed in between.
With the TEV's on gamecube they used 8 setp, which allowed for great graphics, and the Wii supports 16 step, which will allow for effects close to current gen, however it is very different than programming for a PC so deveopers get lazy and just copy the code over to the wii, and use a compatibility layer to make it function.. which completely doesnt use the TEV system and that's why games look like *ss when ported to the Wii. Look at Mario galexy, and metroid prime, which are made by nintendo with the TEV system. If developers made games that were exclusives ONLY and actually took the time to learn the intricies of programming with TEV's then the games would look awesome and have great frame rates as everything is hardware accelerated.
Although I'm not a huge programmer, this should help people understand the problem at hand. COME ON DEVELOEPRS STOP BEING LAZY!!
