Yeah.. I stopped getting nintendo games a long time ago because they were getting too repetitive and childish as I got older and started with PC games and things.. But i decided to get a DS when they first came out because I saw great potential in it with the stylus control and such. I thought maybe with the wifi there would be some good FPS or maybe RTS games.. but I just realized I've looked on gamespot at the games several times, and even after 2 years my DS hasnt got a single game for it :?

This might just be my opinion but am I the only one who thinks that every nintendo system is just the same games with a new gimmick to sell with? I mean, the DS had the stylus. The Wii has the remote thing, but all I see is the same games and series coming out every time. I'll probably just sell my DS to buy other things but before I do, anyone know of any games that might interest me? I'll admit I'm more of a FPS/RTS player than anything else but I've enjoyed RPGs and MMO's but I hate the whole "anime" style graphics. Maybe someone knows of some games coming out that might satisfy me :P

RTS? Age of Empires and Advance Wars...but they're more on the turn based strategy side...

FPS? Metroid Prime Hunters

Anime style graphics? EBA and Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center...

HAVE HOPE IN YOUR DS! But it's your decision. No regrets right?

Heh I dont know if you really understood what I meant. I meant i DISLIKE anime graphics. And the games of those genres (FPS/RTS) already on the DS don't interest me enough.

Although I do have Advance Wars for the GBA and I play that on my DS occasionally. :P

LOL Ohhhhh sorry sir! Put the DS back in the box and leave it alone for a while. When a really good FPS or RTS game comes out, bust out your DS and go buy it haha. It's what I did with my PSP while waiting for good shooters (Killzone and Metal Slug Anthology)

I'll just have to do that then :P

I don't think the DS has been used to it's fullest potential.. the stylus gave options for great first person shooters, sucks I would have liked to see maybe some Call of Duty or something on this handheld, there'd be nothing like mowing down nazis while traveling!

If you were expecting FPS and RTS games, why did you get a DS in the first place? This is Nintendo we're talking about here, they specialize more in action and adventure games. :P

No, I don't agree with your statement that all the games are the same, with a different gimmick. Although they re-use certain licenses (sometimes to an extent where it becomes overkill), the games are always different and almost always fun. Look at Kirby: Canvas Curse for example. It's the same kind of Kirby Adventure that you've come to expect, but it's not the same game! They took a formula that people liked, used it, and gave it an excellent control scheme. What's more, they put a ton of bonus stuff in and the game turned out fantastic!
Nintendo's got it right, in their own way. If you don't like it, then what did you expect when you bought your DS? ;)

NINTENDO is getting too childish?       I think not. You're just too old

Each Nintendo game seems repetitive?   Games are split into different categories (RPG, Action, Sports, Platformer). That's impossible. Either all of your Nintendo games are in the same category, or you just don't like Nintendo games (which is not possible).

The DS is a WASTE OF MONEY?  COME ON! IMAO, my DS [Lite] was worth every penny!

"everything seems repetitive", "waste of money" "too childish"....what are you, 80 years old?? If everything seems repetitive, you must have played a lot fo games in your life. Waste of money? Only old people complain that much about money. Too childish? You must be really old.

I strongly disgaree about what you said, if you haven't noticed by now.

You do realize that this entire post says absolutely nothing other than "I'm a huge Nintendo Fanboy!~", right? I agree with the OP that you can only play Mario/Kirby/Zelda/Donkey Kong/Mario Kart/Insert Overused Nintendo Game Here before they do get repetitive. It doesn't matter that the Mario Kart game has some new tracks... it's still Mario Kart, and it's still played exactly the same. Though I don't believe the DS is a waste of money because it has some amazing games, I do think it will be useless in the long run to the OP, because I highly doubt any FPS worth mentioning is going to dare come to the DS.

I agree about the fanboy comment. :P

But seriously, what is it with everybody and FPS these days? Don't you ever get sick of them? THOSE are the games that get repetitive! "Video games" is a general term, not one that means yet another shooting game with the objective of shooting and killing people and whatever. Sure, they can be fun, but to an extent. The vast amount of those games out right now is sickening, but if you still want to bother playing yet another run-of-the-mill FPS then go get an Xbox 360 or something. Don't complain about the DS because it's more original than anything out there.
