I think my Wii is dead

So there was a little black out power surge thing at my house and It messed up my wii so I was wondering how to fix it before Wednesday 5:30 so I can play in the SSBB Tournament

When I looked at my wii it didnt have any light on so then I unplugged it for like a minute and plugged it in and nothing... I also tried to unplug everything and plug it in and nothing nothing is working! Help!

I bought it on March 20 so I guess I do have the warrenty. Oh and I did this one thing on Nintendo to get an extra 90 days or something

does the tournament invlove your wii?
also it sounds like the power sugre fried yourwii, which sucks. best thing to do is to contant nintendo

Yeah, definitely a power surge that fried your Wii. If the Wii was designed well...only the power supply will need to be replaced. If not, then the whole system board would need to be replaced (in all likelyhood...you'd get a new Wii). Get yourself a good surge protector for when you get your Wii back. Not some crappy one, one that can handle a large power spike.

LISTEN TO THIS MAN! Plugging your Wii (or any other expensive electronics for that matter) straight into the wall is just asking for it.

Yeah, I had a power surge while playing the Wii Sunday morning.

The Wii would not turn on, so I unplugged it and put it back in the surge protector and it worked. Call Nintendo, and also unplug everything connected to the Wii for like 10 minutes.

Thanks everybody for your help and I guess I need another Power surge protector because I only have one and it is for my computer

EDIT: It works now! once I unplugged it and plugged it to a surge protecter it WORKED! Thank you flazzle
