But lets be serious.
The Wii thus far is borderline fraud perpetrated by Nintendo.  Sure the console is cheap, but add a few remotes, numchucks, arcade remotes, an SD card etc. and the price begins to look somewhat more substantial than the "affordable" sticker price everyone is bragging about.
That said, I wouldn't really mind paying that much money if the console had some games to play.  I didn't really mind camping out to get the system on its release date.  I saw the potential in the system and was sure that Nintendo wouldn't let it flounder like the Gamecube (which I also got on release, back in the days where camping was unnecessary.)  Boy was I wrong.
I haven't played an actual disc game in the Wii in months.  I beat Trauma Center, Zelda was garbage (sorry, it's true), beat Paper Mario in a week, Wario Ware was fun for about a week before it lost it's novelty.  And I fear that the Wii, for me at least, has lost it's novelty.
Sure it's interesting and people want to pick it up initially because it is so different, but once you actually own the console you quickly get over that novelty and desire some actual games for the console.
I will not wait until Christmas for Mario Galaxy, Smash Brothers is overrated, Metroid is a huge MEH in my book.
All I really have to say is Wii Fit and plastic chip and dip add ons that come with freezable plastic cups.
The Wii is not about games, it's about using a gimmick to bolster Nintendo sales.
You've had almost a year Nintendo to ensure customer satisfaction.  And while I appreciate your system lacking a red ring of death like my 4th Xbox 360, perhaps this is because there are no games to keep the system running longer than the 20 minutes it takes to to show a friend Wii Bowling before they get bored with it.
If these things are still sold out you can buy mine on the Boston CraigsIist.

Hmm, I disagree. I love the Wii because I can play it for 20 minutes at a time. I have yet to finish Zelda or paper mario, so I still have 2 of the heavy hitters to occupy my time. The big 3 will be here soon enough, and then it will get some seriously playing time, but for now I'm pretty happy with my Wii. Wii Sports would almostbe enough for me. Oh, and when you said Smash Bros is overrated, your credibility in my mind dropped to zero. Smash isa diety in the gaming world and brawl is enough of a reason to own a Wii imo.

Super Serious...

Um, if you don't like it, why not sell it?

Nobody really cares...and why the hell would you buy a Wii if you don't like SSBB and Metroid? Those are going to be 2 of the biggest hits this year.

I stopped reading at "borderline fraud"

The wii is a lot of fun and has many games that will be great coming to it. its worth picking up even if your not much of a gamer.

I just never saw the fascination with SSB.  I know people love it, my brothers gamecube has SSB clocked for hours in the quadruple digits.  UMK3 is the last fighting game I really ever gave a damn about.  Sure SSB is fun, but it's not THAT fun imo.  Would I rather SSB over Ant Bully and Boogie?  Sure.  But it's far from a system seller for me.

I agree with him to an extent...The Wii is lacking an established library of games, and will probably continue to produce the same old garbage they've been doing for years until next year. I'm not a fanboy because I have neither console, and I've been debating which one to get for a long while. All three consoles have large cons and pros if you look at it, Nintendo has a very good idea, but if it will be executed properly is yet to be seen...They aren't delivering thus far though.
