Ice Flower in NSMB Wii

was the ice flower really necessary in nsmb wii? I mean its basically the penguin suit minus the sliding ability. The penguin suit already gives u the ability to shoot ice, so u really dont need the ice flower.

You got a point, but I still love the Ice Flower. I think it's a nice power up.

I think the Ice Flower's a great power up, I like it more than the Fire Flower.

But there doesn't need to be two power ups that do the same thing, espeically when the Penguin Suit does more and is better overall.

I would have scrapped the penguin suit and keep the ice flower. I would be more logic to put a frog suit or something like to swim easily.

The thing is the Tanooki suit is a rare suit like the frog or the hammer bros suits. You could also add the P-Wing.

Well you can say the same thing about the Tanooki Suit. Was it really necessary either? The P Wing is better than both of them because it allows you to fly forever until you finish a level, provided you don't get hit, then it turns into the leaf afterwards so it's still useful. All The Tanooki Suit allows you to do is turn into a Statue for 2-3 seconds which isn't really all that useful, and if you get hit it's gone. But at least the Tanooki Suit had a different ability, even though it's a stupid ability it offered something different.

The difference with the Ice Flower and Penguin Suit is that all the Ice Flower does is let you shoot ice balls, it doesn't let you do anything that the Penguin Suit doesn't. The Penguin Suit lets you shoot ice balls, slide on ice, give better traction on ice, swim faster/have better control in the water.

When given the option it makes more sense to choose the Penguin Suit. It almost seems like they added the Ice Flower as an afterthought.

While it's still a great power up, the Ice Flower has more use in Super Mario Galaxy imo.

I like the ability to have the ice flower and not the dorky suit... and LegatoSkyheart filled in my other response perfectly. The leaf was common, the Tanooki suit was not. It made one more valuable than the other despite doing almost the same thing in the long run. That's the reason they have both this game... one is common and does less, the other does more and is harder to get.raahsnavj

It was nice they put the Ice flower in a 2d mario game. Although i do think there wasnt enough Yoshi in the game. Super mario world was just right.

yea u do see them in the mushroom houses, but mostly in the later worlds..i dont think u can get them from the mushroom houses in worlds 1 or 2.
