I'd really like a sword game for the Wii that really feels like holding a sword.

Wouldn't that be nice? Haven't you had dreams of a game that actually has you holding a sword and cutting stuff with it and moving it realistically with the Wiimote? (no, I not saying Red Steel) I was really looking forward to something like this but no one's really putting in the time for their Wii games now.

There is Soul Calibur Legend and Dragon Quest Sword who looks promising.

Dragon Quest might be your answer but I don't know how "realstic" you want the swording action to be.

They'd need to attach a shell or something to the wiimote so that there is the weight of the blade so you could feel the counterbalance.

I thought more like holding a samurai sword and being able to twist and turn it with the sensoring stuff in the Wiimote. Oh well.

There's probably a game out there somewhere, I remember hearing an announcment about Lucas Arts talking about a light saber game. I dunno, just keep your eye out for the type of game, it's bound to pop up.

I've been hankering for something along the lines of Die by the Sword with a Wiimote-optimized VSIM control mode. Too bad that it looks as if no one's going to do it.

Yeah, they're really lagging with innovation on the Wiimote. There hasn't been much other than ports made with Wii control.

Maybe when Red Steel 2 comes along the sword fighting will be better.
