what if the next zelda gmae was like oblivion, wherey you had an open ended world at your disposal, and there are heaps of dungeons and crap, and the fact that there are heaps of side missions rather than the main mission to do. Its just an idea as i belive that the zelda gmaes are to short and or easy. The bosses and enemies should also be made harder. Another idea is implementing weapon custisation into the game, so that your not always using one kind of weapon over and over.

They are just ideas, some i reckon could work and some i dont think will, what do you guys think of any other ideas or about my ideas?

I do believe that the bosses should be harder. As for custimization, there should be a little. As for a complete open world, well, there were many things to explore in Twilight Princess, but the story really drives the game. Zelda is Zelda. Nintendo will be very careful in changing too much of a good thing. We all remember Link's Adventure. However, I think the next Zelda game should take place outside of Hyrule. The way Link's awakening did. For the diehard fans who can't live without their Gorons, Zoras, and so forth, they could have cousins or relatives in different worlds.

by the way, I know a cousin is a relative, what I meant to say were things that were relative in design or standing within the game.

New settings, new environments. It will have to be more into the distant future. I love Zelda, but I'm getting sick of seeing Hyrule and all that. Same old dungeons.. Do away with 3-hit bosses, but keep the control scheme. I dont know about you, but I would like to see a new and different world.

No offense but that was an incredibly vague idea. I do think it should be harder though. MY idea was to have it start out like a wind waker game, with the sailing and that, and then you have to get three elements to create a storm which would send you to the bottom of the sea which would be like a weird sunken under-water version of hyrule (a bit like that part in wind waker, except just as big as hyrule in OoT). Maybe you could even ride a sea horse under-water. I don't know. It's a bit silly.

Why not simply redesign Hyrule like they did with minish cap? Seriously everyone is always saying "I want the game to take place somewhere else besides hyrule", what they seem to forget is that Hyrule is a fictional world, Nintendo can design Hyrule however they want. It doesn't have to look the same as it did in the last game.

Some one somewhere suggested a modern/futuristic theme for a new Zelda game in which Epona was a giant motorcycle and Link rode around with a gun. Might not appeal to many people at all, but what a refreshing change it would be.

id definately like to see a more vast overworld to explore, because hell, zelda is an adventure series. the overworld would obviously have all the sidequests you'd expect scattered about (rare monster hunts, great faerie fountains, pieces of heart, treasure quests). id like the dungeons to be slightly shorter in length, but there should be more of them (though not nearly the amount as in oblivion. then they all start to feel the same) and they should all be varied.

i wont take credit for this coming idea. i dont remember who's it was, but it was in GGD and it certainly wasnt me. anyway, the dungeons should unfold similar to shadow of the colossus. theres no loading screen, just the temple as one part of the overworld. i think it would make the whole experience more immersive.

more reasons to spend rupees would be nice as well. have status effects like poison/slow that each require different remedies to buy. though there are obviously tons of other ways justify the collection of rupees (TP somewhat took care of this with donations and magic armour, but those were only small element of the end game).
