would you still get it?

i mean, i'm still getting rock band because overall the setlist is much better than gh3and dammit the game is fun. but i think i might get gh4 only if and ONLY if it came with a drum set separate. otherwise, its a no buy for me. especially since all of the stuff they are adding, one would think it would cost this much (remember, extra RB giutars cost $59.99 USD while GH3 guitars cost a whopping $69.99 USD so its not a farfetched possibility). would you still get GH4 if it meant spending $200.00?

In the UK, GH3 was double that... Doesn't look likely, for the UK at least, as that's the cost of a regular game over here...

I'm definately not buying the bundle since I already have the GH3 Guitar. If the drums are worth it, I'll buy them seperately.

Depending on how my wife takes to rock band when I get it will be the deciding factor for GH4 for me. I'm getting RB for the drums, but I'm going ahead and purchasing the bundle. If my wife likes playing RB, then I'll get the bundle for GH4 as well. If she doesn't, then I'll jjust get the GH$ game and the drums for it.

$190 for all instruments and the game, $90 for just the guitar and game and $50 for just the game really doesn't seem bad. It's the basically the same as Rock Band's pricing, and to make it even better, Guitar Hero purists are given the option to buy only a guitar and skip out on the drums and mic.

Let me put it this way, I won't buy GH4 no matter what it costs. First off, the real makers of GH now make Rockband. Second, they are purposely making their games not work with other hardware brands. Third, they are providing nothing we don't already have... unless of course people think writing their own songs is going to be good... and don't forget that extra cymbol on the drums. What torques me about this is just because it says GH in the title people will buy it in droves and the people with the innovation will be out...

Maybe we should see how good the game and equipment is before deciding?

That seems reasonable. I hope they sell just the drums seperately too.

I hope they make a drumset, mic, and game package because a lot of people (like me) will already have two guitars.

What's your deal? GH3 was a PS2 port too and GH4 will probably be the same as PS2 as well. Rockband isn't giving us downloadable content because Nintendo couldn't provide a storage solution in time. In fact, they are now releasing discs of extra songs which cost less per song than the DLC on the other consoles.

There is no other way to word it without sounding like a 12 year old.

I am fairly sick of everyone saying they are "stealing". GH4 will be better than Rock Band Wii. Rock Band Wii doesn't have DLC or Online Play. Yet GH4 does. How is that stealing? Yes I know it has a mic and drums who cares? The original Guitar Hero was stealing from a arcade game of the same type. How come nobody has brought up Rock Revolution yet? They are "stealing" as well. Get used to it, Rock Band was successful, companies are going to try and follow suite.

If it were $750 and included quality componets (drums with good bounce, guitars with decent maple, etc.) I would still buy it. If it were $200 and included flimsy, thin plastic "lifeless" instruments, I would not. It's all about the realism in my mind. If the immersion is greater, I'm willing to pay more...much more even.

Well, if anyone read the Game Informer from this month they would see all the great new things that their adding. You will have Tiger Woods like character creation, instrument customization, even larger world tour than rock band. It will be like a musical RPG game in a way. Plus with all the rock band components and a great song list. All in all it will blow rock band away.

GH3 was a port, but it wasn't painfully dumbed down when compared to the 360 and PS3 versions. Rock Band will have none of the options the Wii is capable of (wifi play and customizable characters).

I'll tell you why the Guitar Hero series is worse than Rockband in one word: Dragonforce

Why don't they just make their own console instead? Price is heading in that direction...
