aspects related similar to the show

pokemon with more animation

3D graphics

Uses some of the wii mote features (possibly fishing or throwing pokeballs?)

enviroments are interactable (possibly destructable or gives pokemon advantage)

Pokemon actually dodge attacks

Save pokemon to SD cards (or wii remote) to make trading easier

It had wifi

Has a co-op mode where someone could save their team to their wii remote and bring it over to do double battles

Had a duel mode in which someone could save their team to their wii remote and bring it over to battle

You can travel to other regions

You can rebattle gym leaders

It had more than one save slot

I would buy it in a heartbeat.

Yes I would.
I'm long over Pokemon, but I used to be crazy about it when I was younger.
Collected the game card decks and talked about it constantly, also watching the series.

Simply grew out of it, series got childish, the hype and the game cards died out and I didn't like the 'newer' Pokemon games after Gold/Silver/Crystal.
I would buy a 3D RPG game just for the nostalgic feeling. :)Sgt_Crow

And maybe a mini game where you actually get to fight as the pokemon, as opposed to telling them what to do? I think that would be a cool addition, but not a major feature.

I think the real question here should be why the hell they haven't done it yet. And not just a lame spinoff thing either. I can understand how with pokemon, portability is a fantastic and sometimes necessary thing, but Nintendo is no stranger to connectivity and quite frankly I'm disappointed with them for their complete lack of it thus far and for not providing us with a true console pokemon game yet. It wouldn't be particularly hard to do and the Wii would be ideal for it in the first place. I've dreamt about a console adaptation since Red/Blue and I can't believe that they are simply content to sit back and make the lame Colosseum series of games.starfox15

I would assume because they dont want to take away from the handheld market, I mean handhelds always sell more than consoles. Because thier cheaper and you can use them whenever you want, therefore they appeal to a broader audience. One of nintendo's if not the biggest players for thier handheld is pokemon. They dont want to take away from that audience at all, while the reasons I mentioned above would still apply. It wouldnt be the same story if there was a bigger, better, pokemon out there. I'm sure alot of people buy nintendo handheldsjust for pokemon,So I wouldnt expect to ever see it come to home console. However if they did do one, I would be inclined to give it a try.

I persnally havent playeda pokemon game in over 10 yrs, because I am not a fan of turn based games. However I wouldnt say something silly like the game is kiddy, because there is nothing kiddy about it. Seems like you dont even know the meaning of the word.

I've been waiting for Pokemon Snap for a while and I am psyched it's finally coming to the VC. It's too bad they made the game so brief...If it had all of the pokemon and wasn't on rails it may've been one of my favorite games of all time.

What exactly makes Pokemon kiddy? Because the story is less "dark" than most other RPGs? Your logic is foolish because a full Pokemon RPG on Wii would be a gigantic hit with new fans, current fans, and all other pokemon fans that drifted away from it over the years. I'd kill for a solid RPG on the Wii, especially Pokemon if done right. Pokemon is old school, serious level grinding, random battles, huge maps to explore, character depth, and plenty of strategy to boot. I guess I have to laugh just a little that we've gotten so old that kids these days make fun of things we grew up on like Pokemon because it's not cool anymore...time sure does fly...

I think if they made an history line like the handhelds pokemons with Battle Revolution's grafics I wouldn't think twice before buying it.

I would like it to be more of an action type game, or probably best yet, be similar to the system used in FFXII. The illusion of realtime, with the turn base we all love of Pokémon secretly in there. It worked really well in FFXII, and a similar thing could definitely work for Pokémon

Its teh kiddy cuz kids enjoy playing it ya know, kinda like some other very popular game that sold 3 million or whatever on launch. That is is soooo kiddy too.

Gamefreak should be developing for the console pokemon games as well as the handheld games.

Nintendo always gives it to the worst developers.

The game would be so perfect for an MMO RPG. They ahve been sitting ona gold mind for all these years and they refuse to digg it up.
