Look, no matter how people look at it, I'm happy the N64 and the Gamecube existed. Without it, Zelda wouldn't be what it is today, and one of my favorite Gamecube games, Eternal Darkness, would've only been a blank thought in Denis Dyack's mind.

I already have a DVD player. I don't need another. I don't have an HDTV. I don't care if the online feature isn't present in every game, but it's coming in June, so keep your pants on. The graphics are better than GameCube, and GameCube had some amazing graphics that still hold up today. And the Wii has just launched, graphics will get much better than what we've seen.
Why would it matter if 1999 had that functionality back then? The N64 had a plethora of groundbreaking games, and the Gamecube, while not as good, had some solid games. That generation of gaming had the purpose of simply jumping the industry into full-fledged 3-D, and Nintendo did a good job of setting the standard for it. I don't really care that the Wii doesn't have all of those features, it's kicking ass right now, and Sony got their asses handed to them.

It's not convenient if it costs me another $100. I think I'd rather save that cash for games and just move my arm slightly to reach the remote control for the DVD player. Problem solved, and I'm $100 richer.

I have two really nice HDTV's, one in the living room (50"DLP) and one wall mounted in the bedroom on the wall at the foot of my bed (32"LCD). High definition movies and video games are a big priority for me, but even I dont have a problem with a true widescreen 480p image over component cables, how do you complain at something as gorgeous as LoZ:TP on Wii? Probly doesn't even have an HDTV, what a troll.

No online? Try VC games, how do you get em? By magic, I don't think so. Online games will be coming out soon, and have already been released in Japan (pokemon). And the rest (HD, DVD, good graphics) all tye in together... in my opinion you don't need these for a great game, Zelda had good graphics in my opinion and was a sweet game. Wario Ware had simple and scored 8.9 so I don't think you've got a great argument. In my opinion if the Wii was released in 1999, everyone who had the money would buy one, they would've sold millions on release and Nintendo would be the richest company ever.....think about it.
