All I would want is a DS that could fit a flash based memory card like a microSD card to store games via downloading of a Virtual Console program for the DS, it would be awesome to have a huge back catalogue of Gameboy and Gameboy Advanced games at your finger tips on a single 4 GB microSD card, they would have to be dirt cheap games though and you could just buy a software card that fits in the Slot 1 which allows you to download the games and input Points Cards just like on the Wii. Since you can't actually do a firmware update for the DS due to no internal storage, you would need a DS cart to do it.
If through wi-fi you could actually get on the Internet, or if they made a special cartridge to let you get on the Internet, also, wi-fi pictochat would be nice, like they could give the option to do a global search for chat users or local users, and not just a 3-foot-whatever radius.AnimeOkamiCat
There is already an accessory that lets you surf the web.
remodel is so that GBA games can fit into slot 2 again...
also a function so that the DS doesnt shut down after you go to the settings, or Pitco Chat...

LOL do you even own a DS?, because you can do all those things you've justmentioned.

You're joking right? Open up your DS and select PICTOCHAT, wich makes use of WIFI

Yes, I know, but it costs $30-35, and it is flashless.
-More tactile, crisp feeling buttons (this is something I hate about the PSP, and just about every Nintendo system ever.)
-More comfortable form fitting grips. (I'm sick of handhelds that feel like thin bricks, how hard would it be to incorporate the designs from console controllers.)
-More color saturation and contrast in the screen.
-get rid of the polished plastic that gets finger prints and scratches so easily (inferior plastic, that seems to be the trend in new electronics.)
-speakers that dont suck.
-microphone that isn't directly in between the screens/one that you don't have to lean into.
-OH YEAH, the Z80 Processor for backwards compatibililty with GB/GBC
-System sleep during GBA games when you put the flip screen down.
-During GBA play, use the second screen for a clock or access to the DS preferences menu.
-GBA link cable port so I can play crystal chronicles and link battle in Fire Emblem with my freaking DS
I love my DS lite, but Nintendo could have put a little more time into it.

You're joking, right? PICTOCHAT isn't WiFi.

- Support for WPA1 and WPA2. WEP is completely useless nowadays.
- Built in browser (with flash and upgradable, so in the future it can support SVG and stuff like that)
- Bluetooth (wireless headphones and the like)
- 4 or 8 GB of internal memory (were you can put MP3s, videos, software, etc.). I use the R4 for all that stuff, but would love to have that built in. A micro SD slot would also be appreciated.
- Better graphics (GC quality, as the very least)
- Vibration
- Multi-point touch screen (and a more durable screen as well)
- PSP compatibiliy (just kidding...)
-Make Pico Chat online
-Analog stick
-Gameboy/Gameboy color compatible
-Some kind of RSS feed
-Mail (Like the wii message board.)
-Paint like program
Thats about it... Maybe a built in A/C unit cause mines broke........
Along with everything already stated:
-A feature that allows you to access the DS preferences menu while your game is paused
-Another slot for the stylus on the left hand side for lefties. The Lite comes with an extra stylus anyway, why not give it its own place?
-And maybe an option to auto-load a GBA game while a DS cartridge is in slot one.

Just messing with you, but yeah i guess so. I didn't want to be rude or anything, just pointing out that the DS already has almost has every feature you mentioned.
But maybe you're right about the worldwide chat option, that would be a nice feature. I'm already using the Internet Browser catridge for the DS, to chat, well kinda. Onsome free chatting site's for example you can use the Browers's keyboard to tap some messages. And It's nice the browser supports Gmail, but these are slow ways to keep in touch. So yeah i agree a WWWIFI would a nice addition they could add.
None, in my opinion.flordeceres

Yeah, that would be sweet. Sounds like most people would like a hard drive. A built in web browser would be sweet.

As an artist, I would love to have something like Paint built-in to my DS
Up the system memory from the 4mb it currently is to around 16-32mb, that would probably allow games like quake 2, half life ect to be ported with ease.
It would be nice to have built in SD storage for mp3s ect, and a built in web browser, notepad, picture viewier, movie player ect.
Dual touch screens, better D pad on the DS Lite, Better microphone, longer battery life.
1)same size stylus, i like it and dont want to have to shop around everywhere just trying to find the "old" size!
2a better graphics card or something like that,
3)anologstick somehow,
4)some way to download gba games, or to have them at least fit into slot 2 again,
5)if it could then that. picto chat worldwide instead of 5 feets away.
6)honestly i dont even know why they are making a new one again already, but ill likely get it anyways.
7)larger screens would be good. maybe even wide screens??? and i know its supposed to be a gaming handheld only but music and pictures or movies like the gba movies would be cool,
8 )faster internet somehow, cuz wow. i bought it for ds then i got my wii and now all i use is wii because ds internet takes an hour to load a freakin webpage properly. jeez.
9)a cutt off of crappy games about ponys, or a talent show, or sudoku, or brainbursting science fun part 2, brain age and big brain achademy are all we need!
D-Pad
Pressing diagonals on the D-pad is pretty hard, they should fix that.
Speakers
Better sound quality atleast.
Make the volume go higher. The original Nintendo DS is louder than the lite.
Touch screen
Able to detect 2 stylus pressing down.
Wi-fi
Make Pictochat wi-fi, able to connect to Nintendo servers.
Select and start buttons
Increase its size and make it easier to press.
If possible longer battery life
