I would ask him for a proper storage solution. One of the main reasons I bought a Wii was to play all of my favorite games from my childhood, the best time of my life. With the current storage solution, it's a pain in the bloody ass. N64 game's take up almost a quarter of the Wii's flash memory alone. This is ridiculous. I don't want to have to delete games, go to the Wii Shop Channel, and re-download games I have already bought, just in order to play Mario freakin' Golf. My Virtual Console collection is approaching 40 games, and it's getting to the point where I have to delete a game every time something new comes out. I thought the Wii was supposed to be about convenience and easy use? Having to access the internet just to play games I have already payed for is anything but convenient.
There is an easy way to solve this. Two, in fact. One is, enable Wii owners to read Virtual Console games off of SD Cards. It wouldn't even be that hard to configure. Make it so you mus talready have the game on your Wii Shop channel ( although this method may require instant internet access; there's probably tons of ways around this ) account, and when it sees that you have purchased the game, it will allow you to read it directly from the card itself.
Secondly, come out with a cheap, although well-made, external harddrive, that will give Wii owners more extra space than they know what to do with. I guarentee it would sell.
I would be more content with an external harddrive than any of the announced games coming out in 2009.
