...is it advisable to buy Metroid prime 3? Will it require me to read Wikipedia faqs just to get into the game? The game looks amazing, and I need a good FPS, what do you think?

and I need a good FPS

This is no run and gun FPS like Halo. It's an adventure game, like Zelda, in first person.

You can run and gun in MP3...but you'll be doing more adventuring.

Yeah this really helps. I've played most of the Metroids and I didn't even know most of the story until this.
to be honest story line means SO little to the metroid prime series it's ridiculous, it has an ongoing story, but that's basically only for hard-core metroid fans
buy the game, it's gonna be awesome
I'd seriously recommend getting the first Prime and the Second one. Prime is only $8 for crying out loud, and I think that Echoes is like $15. They're not expensive.holdenlowe
I agree. They are some of the best games of all time. Anyone would be stupid not to pick them up.
Is the metroid prime trilogy the only FPA?foola12yes, every other FPS out there that is notible as a major game, ie. anyone has actually heard of it. Have been action orientated
Thanks guys, i read the story on both IGN and Wiki and it was a good read. However, it made me want to play the first 2. Will they run on my Wii? I dont have a GC.. Also, can I buy the Wii top up cards online? They don't sell em here where i live..ryoness
i play metroid echoes on my wii all the time.
the wii plays all gmaecube games; it is 100% backwards compatible; it excepts the smaller sized discs in the same slot.
what you will need is a used gc controller....about 7 bucks and a memory card...you might also want to get SSBB to play on the wii too
