Well the review is good. If Matt would have given the game anythinghigher I would have been upset, but I think he gave the game the score it deserved. I've only played Pikmin 2 which I loved very much. I'll probably rent this one - just cause it's relativley short and very dated.
And it deserved it. The new play control is upresed and has an easy to use and faster control, and its cheap. Pikmin 1 on GC was amazing, but I am so sorry it did not live up to the "great " standards of rayman raving rabbids.1. It's IGN
2. They gave the Gamecube one a 9.1

Well it does deserve higher. If the original got a 9.1, then this one should have started at a 9.1, and then been judged on what changes had been made and how well they affect the original game.I don't get why you stated those points lol. Are you saying them because you want others to believe it deserves higher?

Yeah, but games age, and it's been 9 years.[QUOTE="Kcdragon8116"][QUOTE="Pesantez"]Well it does deserve higher. The fact that it is a wii-make though means that they made no effort to modernize the game. They kept it the same way it was 9 years ago, so nothing except the new features should have affected the score.

No, they reviewed it right. The original game came out almost a decade ago. The exact same game comes out now (almost a decade later) just with some improved controls. It DOES NOT deserve the same score or a better score than it did back thenSame here, except I just exhausted my gaming budget (yes i'm sixteen and budget my money) on MadWorld. Maybe next month...Excellent. This was the review i was waiting for. I am going to pick it up this weekend. I never had a chance to play Pikmin, or the primes so these wii makes are welcome by me!

So if they released super mario 64 with the controls of Galaxy would you give it a 9.8? NO! Cause the game is OLD OATS.1. It's IGN

Are you saying that Pikmin on the GCN doesn't deserve a 9.1 (*looks at Jasonguy with psychotic hyperfan eyes*)? I think it deserves it fully and the New Play Control Pikmin works surprisingly well (I should know I have played it quite a bit today).

Super Metroid is 15 years old, but i'd rater higher than any of the Halo games, Gears of War games, Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil 4, etc... There are many old games out there that only show age with graphical limitations. Their excellent gameplay and overal design keep them recognised as some of the greatest games ever developed.I bought it the other day. I'm addicted. It's seriously one of the best games I've ever played. Some people seem to bash it for the time limit, but I love it- it makes it more challenging. If youmissed out on this the first time around like I did, do yourself a favor. It's amazing.
