a very interesting article, wat do u think?

Voice acting - just no. Never in a Zelda game do I want voice acting. It'd either end up being west country accents which would remove any sense of seriousness, or over-the-top annoying American accents.xSuperBlobx
True, but Link (CDi) Was very memorable, I really liked his voice!
aye good read.
i would like too see voice acting for secondary characters IF they dont skimp on the VO work. theres nothign worse than bad voice actors (well ok there is..bu bad VO work is worse than no VO work imho). obhiously link should remain silent though...goes without saying.
full orchestra is a must....no ifs or buts here. theres plenty of disc space to store it all. weve seen how much it added to galaxy and it would have an even bigger impact in a zelda game. if ninty dont have a full orchestral soundtrack then i will go over there, stand outside ninty hq and pick my nose again and again. uve been warned ninty.
a new story would eb nice....but i dont want the story to get in the way of the game. the school of thinking for story development in zelda should be the Half life, metroid prime and bioshock school of thinking. the story should serve the games purposes, not the other way around. i do not want big long cutscenes at all.
i think different difficulty settings is also a very good idea. there should be a hard mode available from the off but should also offer an amazing experience in easy mode.
new controls and new game design + new items built to take advantage of the wii are a must and i would be very dissapointed if there was no motion+ support. basically if just wouldnt make sense to see it on another console or play it on a GC controller then there on the right track. like PH on the DS, this should very much be a wii game.the old design has beenperfected...time to move on.
on the visuals...id love to see something that looks more like the artwork ninty generate for zelda...a bit like what ubi are doing with the new POP. something a bit different again. i loved WWs look but theres not much room to build on it (adding more detail would be a step in the wrong direction for WWs style) while at the same time, i dont think the wii si up to the job of really doing a realistic looking zelda justice.
Firstly, the voice acting bit is bullcrap. I for one am capable of reading the written word with my own two eyes. I don't need some embarassing, phoned-in narration to tell me what's going on.
Secondly, I really want the next game to be set in Termina (Majora's Mask's setting). I like Hyrule, but Termina was so much more interesting. It was wild and eccentric and strange, like Hyrule's crazy reclusive brother.
Thirdly, the idea of a cell-shaded adult Link is interesting. I'd like to see it in a 3D handheld game (maybe on the next Gameboy).
Fourthly, one of the big problems with TP was that there weren't many places to explore in the towns. You were lucky to find a house you could go in that didn't have an explicit purpose. This should definitely be fixed in the next game.
Matt Casamassina is an insult to journalism. I swear, he makes spelling and grammatical errors in every one of his submissions. If he were in any other form of media...well, he wouldn't be because he's horrible at the English language.
It's not only insulting to journalism, it's insulting to Video Game journalism for this to be acceptable. How can video games be taken seriously when a supposedly "professional" journalist like him gets away with making errors like saying "the" twice in a row, or creating run-on sentences, the likes of which compare to that of an 8 year old?
There NEEDS to be voice acting, BUT NOT FOR LINK!SaxsoonThis. I think voice acting so there aren't many reads. But giving it to Link just wouldn't be right because some people just might not like Link's personality with him talking. The various grunts he makes is just the way it should be.
I like the idea of a hard difficulty setting. TP was pretty easy except for some of the puzzles that were pretty frustrating.
I also like the idea of the integration of the motion plus. I don't see why they would have it and not use it. It could really add some depth to the combat, where in past games it was just swing your sword until all the enemies in the room were dead. I'd really like to see the motion plus used for some new items. I'm sure Nintendo would be able to come up with all kinds of innovative ideas.
There should be voice acting. Today there is just no excuse to not have it, but Link should remain silent just because its tradition and it would destroy his character.
I agree with everything they said.
Vocie acting for everyone except link (and Zelda and ganondorf if they are in the next game)
Wii motion plus, is a must.
And an epic new story, with harder boss fights.
Also don't make it cel shaded and i will be one happy camper

I agree with this completely

I wish he'd discover Microsoft Word.
Then he'd see a little red line under each misspelling, and a green one under those repeated words.
This is what i would want:
1. realistic look (no cell-shading) its easy to make cell shading games cause it rly doesnt require much time. just make a lowpoly 3d model, low rez textures, and add cell shading to hide what i siad, and tada u have a WW. i liked windwaker alot but they rly should keep cell shading on the ds.
2. No voice acting please, it just would lose that original zelda feeling. I mean imagine Midna with a voice. shes already anoying as it is. Or that goat herder guy or the happy mask sales man. pls no.
3. Yes to Wii motion+, I like the idea that the article put forth. Like only Z target, and well u get my poiint (i hope)
4. I rly dont care about he story Miyamoto always makes that work out.
Yup thats it
Lol, don't compare Oblivion's voice acting to any other game because Oblivion only had like 2 or 3 voice actors voicing the whole game excluding Patrick Stewart who voiced Tiber Septim in the beginning and died minutes later. I hope that the next Wii Zelda game is super long and has a great story and similar or better graphics than Twilight Princess.
I agree with all of that except that last part.I agree with everything they said.

Ditto.
You know what? I'm going to be the first person on here to say that I wouldn't mind a little Link voice acting. It really wouldn't ruin the game for me. I don't care if you can read or not, voice acting only adds a little realism to the game. I'm sure if Nintendo had voice acting capabilities on its original console, there would have been voice acting in the original Zelda game.
Then again, I'm the type of gamer that likes to take a step forward - not back (that's why I bought a Wii in the first place!).

Nintendo would have the same problem picking a voice for Link as Da Vinci did picking a face for Jesus in "The Last Supper." Nothing voice would fit for everybody who has played Zelda all these years. Personally, I think it would end up sounding goofy.
