I don't play much online, but Nintendo does need to address the need for users wanting that experience. I think it will develop. There is too much demand for online play for them to ignore it.
My only fear is that they seem to be somewhat new in online gaming (Blizzard, EA, etc.) hence I don't want them to make the mistake of 'forcing' a product that isn't refined.
The Online Experience is one of the largest things today. What else could explain the success of World of Warcraft? If Nintendo decides to go with the online movement, I believe that they would be making a great choice.
I think online is a needed feature for some games. I just extends replay value. Most of Nintendo's games, like Mario or Zelda, don't need online at all. The party games, like SSB and Mario Party, need online play.
as i told u b4 im not pushed bout it but 4 u guys who hav been waiting 4 nintendo 2 bring out online and ar gettin impatient, i only hav dis 2 say. if i was goin to choose between nintendo and any other online consoles i'd go wit da 1 that take it's time to make the online experience class!!!
Online is supposedly the "way of the future" and whatnots. And nintendo has to embrace the future, as much as it would like not to be "next-gen." And this means online play. Xbox sells well in no small part to xbox live and games like gears of war and halo 2. So ninty, how are YOU gonna handle online play? o.O
I don't think that every game should have online compatibility, but I chose that option because I think most games should have it in some way, shape, or form.

Well they arent ignoring it, you know online will be available by June 25th which i believe is Pokemons release date. Me personally some games could benefit from online, I may play online I may not, its not a big deal for me. However for those that it is a big deal for, it will be available very soon, but one thing I that I seriously disagree with is how people believe that every game under the sun needs to be online.
Nintendo should get into the online gaming bus already, but I'm not too excited about it. I prefer playing alone or with friends without the need for online. Some games like SSBB could be better with it, though.
The more fun I can have without online the better. I'd rather not rely on others for the experience. I'd give any game that has online in it that I should so buy a go online, but generally that won't be my focus.
