Get Tp( if you havent already played it on the GC) and If your getting a wii Might as well pick up RE4 with it but only if you havent played any versions of it(ps2, GC), Paper Mario, Madden( if you like football games), thats about if for me.

PS: Don't get warioware unless you have a ton of friends that come over a lot, because 1 player mode can be beaten in a day, and it gets really boring after you beat it.

You wont need a usb connector I forgot how I set my wireless up but it was rather easy cause it took me like 5 mins to do it, but here's what I remember, put connecting setting to wireless and turn on wiiconnet.
Get Zelda and Super Paper Mario. Then sit back and wait for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on August 20th, and also Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Bros. Brawl whenever they come out.
