I'm going to have to get up EARLY for a Wii!

You go guys.  So you're out in the cold (or warmth, its just cold here.. over spring break :( ), you're out in the cold for what i think is possibly the most amazing, innovative, and all around coolest console to ever be released.  So you lose some sleep, you're losing sleep for a console that will keep you up for hours!  Grab a Vault, plow through the camped gamers, pick up your (Nintendo) Wii, and get to it!!! 

Also pick me up one while your there. lol, jk :P

So i asked the guy if you have any WIIs in stock and he was like yea we jsut got some in right now. So they guy punched in the code and yea.... OMG I WENT THERE ON THE PERFECT TIMING!!

Yea i think i'm gonna try and get mine tomorrow morning too. Last week my gamestop got some in on friday but i couldn't make it in the morning but tomorrow i will be there when they open so hopefully they will get some in.

I'm trying to figure out which days stores usually get theres in. Gamestop - Fridays (maybe) Target seems to get them in on Sundays. and i'm not sure about Best Buy.

Actually, there was one weird thing about it... when I got it (Feb 2), the woman working there was all congradulating me on finding a Wii. It's like... I didn't win the damn thing, I still had to pay for it! Though at the time I didn't realize how impossibe they were to find since it was only the second place I looked.

Well, I went to line up on launch day... waited for three hours in 30 below (that's Celcius, yes, I'm Canadian) weather outside of Futureshop and failed to get a Wii. So... a month or so later, I wake up at 2 A.M. on a school day and get in line by a Best Buy, and bam, I get one after about 7 hours in below 30 weather. Was it worth it?

Well to get a Wii, you either have to be lucky, or crazy...and since i have absolutely no luck whatsoever, i took a crazy step at getting my Wii. Circuit City was giving out like 12 Wii's on a re-release day in January. Before that, i had called them for 4 straight weeks (yes every single day) to see if they had any in stock...One day they told me about the "secret" re-release on a sunday morning, and i packed up my stuff in 15 degree weather, and waited from 3 o clock in the morning until they handed out vouchers at 9...make sure u bring like a portable dvd player...it's way easier...

Anyway..good luck on getting ur Wii...and again if u don't have any luck...wake up WAYYY early because it may be the first time they sell them in a long time!!!

Well, I called Kmart and they got 4 yesterday (Sunday) and I called yesterday evening and they still had 2 left. The problem is, my mom is in South Carolina and I have no way over there cause I am to young to drive. So I figured if they had them that long without selling out, they might have one tomorrow night when my mom gets home. I call them and they tell me they sold out this morning!!!! WAAAA! My mom said though that she would look at the stores down there in Charleston and see if they have any! YAY! But still WAAA!

i had 17 numbers and called everyday for 3 weeks

took an hour perday. god how i hate wiihunting.

I just found out a store in my area is getting some Wii's tomorrow.
The guy told me the store opens at 10, but at 9am they'll be handing out tickets to thw first 23 Wii customers in line.
I'm almost considering camping out for this thing.  I've never camped out for anything before. 
I'm thinking if I decide not to camp out, I want to be there by 6:30 at the latest anyway.

Get there at 4:00 a.m. NOT KIDDING I got there AT the LAUNCH PRE-RESERVE & still wasn't the first in-line, I also camped out 18 hours the last shipment before X-Mas for a guy who payed me :P So get there early!

I am going to wait a while before I get mine. You know, let them work out the bugs (if any), and wait for some more good games to come out like metroid and smash bros. Of course, there is not much of a rush to get a wii if you are already playing pc games using the wii remote.jed-at-war

I got my Wii about two weeks ago.  I got mine at Costco.  My mom and me went to about three to four stores before she needed to go to Costco to buy something for her camera/grocery supplies.  I walked in and seen a PS3 standing next to a Wii (out of the box), and a note saying "ask for a deposit slip," or something along them lines.  After my mom got dealing with her stuff, which believe me, thinking that you might have a chance at getting a Wii, and having to wait 10 minutes, absolutely kills you.  Then she asked the man, and he said "One hour ago, we had one."  My heart skipped a beat.  "Let me check to see if it's still in stock."

He then went to a computer and came back about 30 seconds later and said, let me write you a slip.  I almost feinted.  Then when we went to pay for it, about 4 people came over and they were like "Well, guess what?"

Me (still stunned by finding one) "W-what?"

"You got the last one!"

Me "I know, I got so lucky."  Then I gave a weak smile and left

 Then, since Costco did not have any games, we went to Wal-Mart where I picked up Super Paper Mario, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Sonic and the Secret Rings, with another Wiimote.
