I'm going to sell my Wii....

I've had my Wii since about July of 2007 and I have to be honest, I haven't touched the thing in over 4 months. In fact it hasn't even been plugged for that time period, or even for most of this year. I currently have these six games:

Wii Sports

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Super Mario Galaxy

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Scarface: The World Is Yours

World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions

I've enjoyed most of these games alot(with the exception of poker), but I haven't really played any of these games past the first couple of weeks since I first got them. I normally don't like trading in consoles since the last time I traded one in I've regretted it ever since. But this time, I honesty just don't use it at all and its doing me no good just letting it sit there. I'm being offered $220 for the Wii it's self and I'm finding it hard to turn down.

Does anyone have any reason for me to keep it?

The thing thats holding me back of selling mine is i know as soon as i sell it or a little after there will be a new zelda, mario or some great game anounced and i'll regret selling my Wii and feel like an idiot.Enman1

Madworld, Conduit, that new Sonic game, House of the Dead Overkill, Dragon Quest 10, Arc Rise Fantasia, Little King Story, and probably some more I forgot.

But it seems you convinced yourself that this was a mistake. If you are that worried that you might end up wanting the system back, just ask the person you are selling it to if its okay that you can trade the money back for the system.

Nah Grease Bits, you should sell your Wii to somebody who wants it.

If you don't play it then there is no reason to keep it.

So, You want to sell your wii. Now what i notice is that you dont have very many games which is cool and all. But another thing i noticed is that there are some games you might want to check out. First off No More Hereos great game and now not too costly. Second de Blob if you want a very different/ inner child experience.

Now theres another thing i might want to mention. Upcoming titles. Mad World, House of the Dead Overkill, The Conduit, and many more. Not to mention that next Zelda game or any other nintendo franchise that you may be interested in. cause lets face it its coming.

It's really your choice. If you want to sell it then go for it, but I suggest that you think it through.

This is nothing new, folks.

I actually had serveral others games to which I had gotten rid of throughout the year.

Also, I wouldn't call what I said in my first post as "complaining", seeing as when asking a question one would consider it appropriate to give a back round story as to why I wish to sell the Wii, in order to get answers that would reflect my situation.

If I had known that the arguments against me selling my Wii would have turned into an ad hominem style of arguing I would have chosen not to post the question at all.

Anyways, thanks to all those who offered constructive idea's on what to do in my situation, I appreciate the advice and will think it over tonight as to what I should do.

No it's worse than complaining.

You make a thread on a gaming forum to see if you should keep something you bought.

In other words you're asking other people what to do with your money when you've already established the fact you don't use the console.

It's a classic thread that's been brought up time and time again. "I don't use my Wii, should I sell it?"

Seeing as you have no emotional attachment to this inaniment object (hopefully) there's no reason for you not to sell something you don't use.

If later on down the road you have the sudden urge to buy the console again, I'm almost positive Nintendo will still be making them.

I've given up on the Wii long ago. The only one in my house that plays the Wii is my 4 year old son with Lego Star Wars, but I wouldn't sell my Wii because mabye just mabye in 2010 or 2011 there'll be something worth getting once Nintendo gets out of this lame simulation rut. My wife played Wii Fit for all of a week and admits that it's really really boring. I bought my gaming systems to play games on, and hopefully there will be something worthwhile for the Wii sooner than I think.

well, if youre looking for a reason to not sell it, maybe you dont want to sell it afterwards. Plus a new zelda will eventually be out, if youre into that franchise.

on the other hand, if you do sell the console and all your games you could get a buttload of money and invest in a 360 or something.

We have a stickied thread whose purpose is to show people everything that's both available and up and coming on the Wii, and one of its main uses is to answer questions like this. If you see games you're interested in there, keep your Wii. If not, sell it. It's really that simple.
