Im kinda disappointed in the wii...

DOnt get me wrong, this isnt a diss thread at all. I really had high hopes for the wii! But I look at all the games that have been reviewed, and they arent that great! I got paper mario, and it is ALRIGHT. I mean dang, they took out the freakin rpg element out! Thats what made the game! Anyways, I rented Zelda, and I was really disappointed in how awkward the controls are! I mean jeez. My last hope for now is wario ware, I might try that out since it got such a high rating. The main reason I bought the wii is for smash brothers brawl, but I find out they dont even have a release date for the freakin game??? Dang! For now, Im just using the wii for the internet...Im glad you can play youtube on the wii though! I also look at the memory, and its only 512 megabytes? With the VC function doncha think we need more??

And this is for anybody that has Paper Mario for the Wii: (Possible spoilers)

Im in the cloud level, the last door. Ok. Ive gotten all the way to the top, and now Ive got to find three people with orbs to make a bridge. So I look around. I go in this one door, and I find a cloud character laying face down into the clouds. When I try to talk to him, it says he might be faking his injury. How the heck do I get him up? I am stuck at this section and I dont know what the heck to do!

I love TP's controls. I really don't understand it when I hear people complain about them, because there's no way I want to go back to the old system.

While I wait on SSBB and MP3, I'm having a blast playing my Virtual Console games. I'm totally satisfied with my Wii.

Yes I am a little bit disappointed but there's still hope while waiting for the future releases. I got Mario Strikers and I'm impressed on how much fun I'm having with this game, and I don't even like soccer. Probably soccer purists would disregard the title, and I can't blame them, but look up for it.

be happy with the wii dude, great games are out (TP, mario strikers, paper mario (DBZ, i love it)just naming a few) great games are coming (SSBB, galaxy, re4:wii, pokemon, again just naming a few) golden oldies there for the choosing, endless possibilities for games (if devs get there thinking caps on).

I've found that many supposedly "hardcore gamers" are disappointed in the Wii.  However, the Wii is doing what other consoles really couldn't do:  get a universal audience.  Heck, even Gramma loves bowling.

And, yes, I was slightly upset about Super Paper Mario.  Then I played it.  Being someone who played through the original Paper Mario on the N64 and loving it, I can honestly say I am thoroughly impressed with Super Paper Mario.  I love it, I can't wait to own it, and I can't wait to own a Wii.

And this is coming from a man who loves Sony.  Not just likes Sony, loves.  I didn't own the 64 or GC (my sister had a GC, and I borrowed my friend's 64 for a while), but the Wii is just too enticing to pass up.

I don't know what your major beef can be with the Wii...but everyone else likes it.  There have been 7 1/2 MILLION systems sold already, and there are no signs of slowing. So..go Wii.  w00t.

I agree the controls for Zelda suck. I actually stopped playing it because of them. Motion controls are good for some games.

I'm a lot disappointed myself. Twice the power of gamecube is what Nintendo said.  Well where is all that power at?? Because my best gamecube games look better than most of my Wii games. Personally I think Nintendo is just in a rut. I'm sure we will have more games come out towards the end of the year.

Anyway I've played basically 5 hours of Zelda on my friend's Wii who let me borrow it for a day, and loved every moment of it. It makes Wind Waker feel boring. But to each their own I guess.

Anyway, I have been waiting for the Wii cause I knew that it would take patience for the system to get it's groove on like the DS. With the big jump in hardware developers have had to learn how to take advantage of it. And in a year from now the Wii will have awesome games. It's all a matter of patience. 

Just get a 360 while your waiting for some good games, cuz there wont be any on the Wii till the end of the year unless you haven't played RE4 yet or if your interested in Mario Strikers or Metroid.vashkey

For the record I agree with this guy.  I've only really enjoyed one Wii game so far and moderatly two others.  Nintendo need to get their act together.

Well.... RE4 has been availabel on other consoles for years.  I doubt many people don't already have the game.  And I don't like soccer or metroid so you can't really expect me to be that excited.

You can upgrade the Wii memory with an extra flash card, of lets say..2gb?
