1. yes it is free

2. your friends is in the home menu

3. Nintendo has said that they are "working on it" bu currently no talking

4. You have have virtual console and wiiware titles virtual console is old games wiiware is new games

5. Your photo channel can play mp4 (that way it is easy to import them off of itunes onto your sd cards.)

6. Make sure to get some good games for it on wiiware there are a bunch comng out. Go to http://www.wiiware-world.com to see a full list. I recommend dr mario, star soldier r, lost winds, and defend your castle. You can buy wii points just like microsoft points at retailers like target and walmart. (or any game store)

1. It's free

2.Yes, but you need to create a new one for each individual game.

3. Not in game at the moment, but you can send messages, similar to e-mails, to other people who have a wii.

4. There is a very wide selection, all either pre-installed or available from the Wii Shop Channel.

5. Yes, but only in a very small number of games, I only know of two, and on the Photo Channel.

The only thing you should look out for is that the lack of a harddrive is very limiting for the system. You can only have very few VC games and some Wii Ware games before it is full.
