Hi all o/

Ok so i don't want to be abused for posting this but i fear the worst...

I was wow'ed by the prospect of the wiimote technologies potential and also i was looking forward to better than gamecube visuals, i feel let down by the graphical lack of ooomph beyond gamecube quality and more importantly i was expecting the wiimote to offer realistic hand to screen realistic transitional movements and pin-point aiming etc(i felt the technology was billed as very advanced) I have instead found the 'gesture' sytem and the aiming pointer to be inaccurate and lacking a natural feel which detracts from the point of immersiveness.

I am on the brink of selling my Wii, anyone else feel like this?

I thought the controls were supposed to feel natural. I am having no problems with the controls.

Uh.... No?

Too many games coming out that I want.

Sucks to be you. The games I have make great use of the Wiimote's abilities, and I'm more than satisfied with my purchases. Before I go back to playing my Wii, though, I have a word of advice. A little research goes a long way. See my sig for more details.

I think that you need to either give it some time. ( most of the companies are still trying to figure out how to make best use out of it graphics wise) I think you might just be playing the wrong games. If you dont have it connected to the internet you are also losing a lot of value. With VC games which i spend a ton of time playing. My advice to you would be to keep it untill after super smash bros brawl. than see if you still dont like it after that.

The pointer isn't accurate? Have you played Metroid Prime 3 Corruption? The controls are VERY accurate, very polished. I'm sorry that you are not enjoying your Wii but I am enjoying the Wii so I cannot complain. Metroid Prime 3 has made my Nintendo Wii a worthwhile system, I have never played a better FPA. Blows Halo away on every level in my books. (well except Multi cause there is none)

I really think you didn't play at all on more than just WiiSports. Right now, Metroid Prime 3 is already a must and the controls look feeling better on the wiimote than the dual analog. I didn't play at on MP3 now but I'll do it soon.

Ten Things to Help You Keep Your Wii

#1 Stay away from gimmicky games. #2 If ya bought the Wii for graphics, then sell it. #3 Check your settings and where your sensor is, trust me it helps. #4 There are sooooo many good games coming out ( Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros. Manhunt 2 ). #5 Most developers are just starting to make games for the Wii, give it a year and your gonna be amazed. #6 $20 Wii Zapper... nuff said #7 VC, most of the good games have not come out yet ( Banjo Tooie, Super Mario Bros. 3 ) #8 Online has just started. Theres no telling what games will come out online. #9 If ya haven't played Metroid Prime 3, then your missing out on one of the games of the year! #10 Your just cooler around your friends if ya keep it.

You guys got to get over the point that the Wii doesn't have good graphics. THE GRAPHICS ARE FINE. Leave it alone. Yes, it can get better but if that's the way Nintendo wants it, so be it.

You'll go past that stage. You're wrong. If you wanted a Wii you didn't buy it soley on its graphical capabilities.

Yet another troll comes to plague us. Here absorb what is in this image and never bother us again.

meimnobody

Your post sound way more like trolling than his.

Pantbuster, check skellysomenumbers's posts. It kinda shows the whole picture. I also felt let down with the Wii. more because of games that don't handle motion sense well. It's more about the games and less about the hardware, you know? Still, most first-party titles do a great job deleviring the system promises.

I bet a lot of people are dissatisfied with the fact that they payed 1,500 dollars for a PS3 on Ebay when it came out only to have it not even a month after Christmas see them sitting everywhere on store shelves. I bet a lot of X360 owners are dissatisfied with their machines burning out on them and having to send them back to be repaired. You can't please everyone. Other then that, the reason the WII has been doing so well is because it delivers a lot more then it's simple package promises, unlike the X360 and PS3 who have to come out with a new version every 6 months just to stay in the race.

I think it's pretty much agreed Metroid looks better than anything on the GC. As far as the controls, that's where Nintendo put its effort, and it works great.

It's the early days of the most innovative console system since the Saturn (first discs). Just as the graphics will get betteron the Xbox 360 as time goes on and developers get experience, the motion controls for the Wii will most likely become refined and more precise. Don't trade it in, just give it some time. My friend traded in his Wii and once the games started rolling out, he was really bumming his decision.

I kinda feel the same way, but it was cheap, and I own a PS3 too. Metroid and Zelda are pretty good, and Paper Mario is alright, so try those out. I'm gonna keep it because Nintendo games are fun, and unless it's a (insert Mario sport title here) they are usually pretty innovative and have high production values. Maybe it'll get some great third party games since it leads the market this time, but as far as ports go I'll probably get the pretty version. I don't care how intuitive the TV remote is, it'll never beat a keyboard/mouse for the FPS though.
