I'm thinking about buying a DS but need some game suggestions

I'm a few days away from getting my income tax return and am thinking about picking up a DS. What has me on the fence is the library.

I'm a big fan of turn-based strategy like Disgaea and Gladius. I'm excited to see a Disgaea (even though it seems to be another verison of the first one on the PS2) and I think Fire Emblem might be up my alley.

I also like strategy games like SimCity and SimTower. If I get a DS I'll probably pickup SimCity on the DS.

Another game that intrigues me is Hotel Dusk.

There's some things I think I'll enjoy. However, it's not really getting me excited to buy a DS. Does anyone got any suggestions that I could check-out?

If you like strategy games, you should definitely consider the Advance Wars games.

I agree--Advance Wars is perfect for you.

Final Fantasy Tactics A2's also a good choice. Also, Valkyrie Profile Covenant of the Plume recently came out (as far as I know).

You might want to check the DS game recomendation thread. It's got a lot of good ideas.

Hotel Dusk is a really good game, if you like the point & click adventures you will love this game, other games of this genre I recommend are the ace attorney series especially the phoenix wright trilogy. If you like the RPGs The world ends with you is a must have game, in my opinion the best DS game of the 2008, FFIV DS and chrono trigger are other great games. If you want want games that use the touch screen principally, go for the Ninja Gaiden, The legend of zelda phantom hourglass and Elite Beat Agents. Layton is an other great choice, aong with the Castlevania trilogy

I second this and throw in Panzer Tactics if you can find a copy of it. A decent turn based strategy game thats even better if you enjoy World War 2 from a gaming prospect. Final Fantasy Advance 2 is a really good turn based game close to the veins of Diseage, though a lot would argue not as good. Some other games I've enjoyed personally that you may like are: Club House Games, Dragon Quest IV and Puzzle quest Challenge of the Warlords.

If you haven't picked up a DS yet, I would just wait until April 5th and pick up the new DSi :O of course, it's a little more expensive.
