Imagine SMG/SSBB launch days.

SMG:

My brother is going to drive me to a Gamestop that's on the way home from school (school gets out at 3:00). I'm gonna walk right in, step up to the front counter and proudly announce, "One May-rio in Space, please." The guy behind the counter will be like, "50 bucks kid." And I'll be like, "I already got it reserved, so I only owe you 40 bucks." Then I'm gonna slap two twenties on the counter and walk away, perfection in hand.

SSBB:

we're going to Circuit City, also on the way home. We buy the game, go home, and play together for like 6 days straight until we unlock everything. Even though he's a big 360 fan,everyone has a special spot in their hearts for Smashing of the Brothers Brawl.

SMG: I go in EB, buy the game and play it.

SSBB: ^^^

SMG: Not too concerned about it. I'll probably just wait to rent it, unless reviews can further convince me.

SSBB: I'll either go to my store before school, after school, or during an open study hall, then pick up Brawl. If I get it before school or at study hall, then I'll have something to read. If I'm not working, I'll be able to play it once I get off. Either that, or just go home to play it for a bit, then come back to school. I'll probably invite friends over a lot to come play the game. Maybe even now, I should stop looking at the site just so I don't spoil anymore stuff, but boredom might lead me back on the site again, like last time.

I am going to go home, probably think about walking round the corner then be like "mum, give me a lift" to which my mum will reply, "ask your brother" to which I'll shout "John! give me a lift" to which he'll reply (from the same room as my mum since they'll be watching TV) "where to? I am going out to get chinese anyway". Then I'll say "GAME" and he'll be like "why?" and I'll be like "cos I wanna game?" and he'll be like "fair enough" and drive me to it.

Then I'll probably walk up to the counter and say "got any mario galaxies?" and the guy behind the counter will be like "dunno we'll check" and I'll wait for a short moment until the guy emerges from the store and says "no"

I'm asking for Super Mario Galaxy for Christmas. As for Brawl...

I will go into EBGames on December 3 (Dec 2 if I'm lucky), show them my preorder receipt, give them money, and take the game home where I'll enjoy it muchly. It won't be easy going in on December 3, though, I imagine there will be many folks who missed their chance to preorder. I will have to plan out how to make it work.

What I have so far is: I walk casually into the store without looking excited about anything. I look at the Wii games a bit, giving the appearance that I'm interested in something other than Brawl. I then normally walk up to the counter, cough, wait in line, yawn a couple times throughout, etc. When it is my turn at the counter I will take out my receipt for Brawl and tell them that I'm there to pick it up. Surely some people will take notice of this but I will ignore them unless they have something to say. Anyway, the EBGames people do there thing on the computer, tell me what I still owe, I give them that amount, receive my change, and casually leave.

I don't want to get people mad that I have the game and they may not, so it's best that I don't attract attention to myself. Believe me, you should've seen me try and get my copy of MP3. I made a kid cry by picking up my reserved copy when there were none left for others.
