Other than formatting your whole system memory - I don't think so.
Nintendo have started warning people now though, although, I know that they only did this on the minor update recently which stopped the 'net channel freezing.
bottom line is this, a Freeloader is a technical modification not authorized by Nintendo, it clearly says in the warning, if you have an unauthorized technical modification, then your system may be inoperable. Wheter "theres nothing wrong with using a freeloader" as you put it in your own words, or not, it is still not authorized by Nintendo, hence why your system didn't work after the update. In all honesty, it's your fault, stop trying to blame Nintendo
Oh yeah, and they put region locks on games for a reason, which is why Nintendo doesn't want you importing games, obviously. You can always wait for a game, stop acting like you are 3 years old
I'm sorry to hear that, I myself don't have a freeloader because I didn't hear about it soon. So I can't really help you in your problem but I would recommend just buying another gamecube. Also google some websites that have save data for games that you can download and stuff, maybe that can help.
For those laughing at you, just ignore them. It's not like you are hacking things or anything, you just want to play more games and you are doing so in a perfectly legal way. or geez are we against trading with other countries now?
you had it coming using a freeloader, all I have to say to you is HA thank you Nintendo for keeping hackers and troulbe makers away with your great Wii updates.St_muscatFirst of all, 'hackers' is such a strong word for someone that uses a utily to alter a game. Even most of the so called hackers out there in the Internet are nothing but script kidddies, they find some random script and try it out and brag about how they made their screen change colors by 'hacking.' In any case, I don't like to play agains those that use utilities to cheat on games.
Freeloader is not a hacking tool in any way, and there is a reason why there is such a thing, not all games make it to the US, (thankfully the NDS is not region locked, what with Oudedan 1 & 2and other great titles) Heck, I remember even importing Ranma½ some years ago to play on my SNES. Also, if memory serves me right, free loader did not allow for illegal copies to be played, so no worries there.
TC, sorry to hear about your problem. Nintendo tried to go against people that play pirated copies of their games, unfortunately they took a little more than that. As for the whole thing of transferring the game saves from the SD card to the Wii after a format, I would have hopped they had fixed that by now. I know that I was able to back up my Zelda file, play it once, save, reboot and copy the old save file over the new one in the Wii.
You did all the damage yourself, it wasn't even the freeloader
If you looke dat the manual you'd see that you're only supposed to format if you're getting rid of the Wii andf don't want anything of yours tied to it. So because you didn't read the manual you deleted everything.
