In RE4 aiming with the Wii remote just won't compare to the gamecube controller.

I loved aiming the guns with the lazer alone. I don't want to shoot things with some stupid aiming reticle in the middle. Atleast one person thinks so. (me)

As with all opinions, the only one truly affected by it is the one who holds it and those who substitute it over their own.  Personally, I found trying to aim in ANY way in RE4 frustrating and unwieldy.  I'm very much open to the change.

I agree. I don't know why they had to take out the laser. It's way more realistic, and adds to the tension.

I preferred the laser pointer as well, but I don't think the change is anywhere near enough to ruin the added ease/niftiness of aiming with the Wiimote.

So far everything points to the Wiimote enhancing the gameplay so I'm pretty much looking forward to trying it out.

Really now, you don't like th enew controls because of the on screen riticle... that like saying you hate tv because the plant on top of your tv is too green.

Wii Remote will definately make the game better, it was fun to start with and now it will be better.

urrrm at least change the title so it says what your actually expressing....the aiming with the wii remote will be much better its just without laser sight it'll be....oh the same...i hated the laser sight in some situations especially when you couldn't see what it was pointing at, the Wii remote needs an aiming reticle, plus the ganados move faster in this one so a laser sight would be harder to use

Wow, the things that video game nerds find to complain about. Does the whole game really hinge on the laser sight? Is it that important to you? Or are you just finding some lame reasons to whine about something?

From what we've been shown of Wii Edition's gameplay, the aiming is much more streamlined and efficient with the Wii remote and this supposed hideous reticle. And does such a minute detail really mean so much to half of you? It's not like they took out major characters or gimped the gameplay with some painful mechanics, so calm down.

Dude stfu its not a nerd thing. To me its as bad as changing the crosshair in Halo to a banana or something. The laser sight is an icon of Resi 4 just like how Solid Snake has a bandanna for instance.

Plus the fact they're re-designing the game for noobs and casuals to get to grips with, ripping the soul out of the gme. The laser sight would add much more challenge than a big ass circle of death floating around the screen.

Er.. Umbrella Chronicles had its soul ripped out for Casuals, not RE4. Sure, the cursor will make aiming a bit easier, but it won't totally eliminate any and all challenging gameplay elements.

No they said they're making the gameplay easier and a big floating crosshair of death will compliment that. They even think the game is for families.

I never said anywhere the game will blow because of that. I'd just love it if you'd be able to plug in a gamecube controller and control it like the Cube version as an option. I might be wrong and I haven't played it but they should just give you the option in case the new aiming sucks.;) I just loved the suspense and the realistic feel of moving your arms around and aiming with the lazer. I'm in a state of thinking anything else wouldn't feel as good lol.

(Yeah I edited)

Then don't buy the game, simple as that.Â
