I honestly can't seem to comprehend why everyone loves SMG so much. It's basically a really rally bad version of n64 but with better graphics.
I think the galaxy portion of the game with the gravity and planets takes away from the game, not offers it more.
Though Prime3 didn't wow me at first (especially since I was a diehard mp1 fan) I eventually found a way to comfortably aim properly and fire accurately and rapidly.
As a tip to beginners, TURN OFF HUD LAG IN OPTIONS. It will make your game experience a heck of a lot better. I couldn't aim properly in advanced mode with it on, and I couldn't turn fast enough in normal mode, so I couldn't find a balance til I found out how to turn off the HUD lag.
As a huge Metroid Prime fan ever since the Gamecube masterpeice, I slightly head towards that. SMG is still an amazing game, it's really close but it's more popular.
Galaxy, but only because co-star works so well with my inexperienced video game family. Easier to play SMG and not get yelled at as they can join in or vice versa.
MP3 all the way. Im having fun with galaxy,but I had more fun with MP3. Proboly because it had a story and I enjoy games with story more. PLus I like the Voice acting in prime I hope they keep it for the next game.
Not to rock the boat here, but I actually didn't like mp3 at all. I thought it was boring, I didn't like the controls for the wii, and the story was lacking. I enjoyed Galaxy much more. It had me interested, it didn't bore me.
Both are SOOO good and Galaxy was really the better made game I guess, but I'm just more of a Metroid type of gamer. I enjoyed it more and have played through it several times. Galaxy maybe once more but not for a while.
Metroid Prime 3 because I'm a huge FPS fan and into games with deeper stories than what Galaxy provides. Don't get me wrong, Galaxy is great but its great for what it is....a Mario game.
I was underwhelmed with galaxy. It's too easy and while I did like the gravity thing it just didn't offer me much. If you look at the mario games each traditional mario game added to the mario "personality" that the mario universe has, but galaxy just didn't do too much of that for me. Other than being in space it lacked any of that special stuff to set it apart.
SMG by far. Don't get me wrong though. MP3 was a great game and ended the Prime story pretty good. My problem with it was that it had you collecting some unnecessary stuff like the ship missiles that you used maybe 3 to 4 times throughout the game. Also, it was too linear. I liked having to use my brain, backtracking to all the different locations to find all of the missile expansions and other stuff in the previous metroid games (2D and 3D). SMG keeps me and my family very entertained and it has a was higher replay value than MP3 since you can go back through the game with Luigi. And don't let me get started with the insane level designs, man it was great.
Well considering I got both for christmas and I've been doing nothing but playing Galaxy, I'm gonna go with SMG on this one. MP3 is still a great game and I will finish it after I finish Galaxy.
Galaxy is a great game, but it doesnt capture me the way Metroid does. I think its that Mario is becoming a touch kiddy for my tastes. Both are great games though.
