I've got a Wii reserved that I can collect in about 3 hours time guaranteed. I bought the standard £180 one but they also asked me if I wanna pay an extra £20 for insurance to cover the next two years in case anything should go wrong. Shall I get it?

I'm not too sure because I've never had problems with consoles in the past (cept for the rings of death on my 360 which were inevitable).

Thanks.

In my opnion, insurance is usually a good idea, granted Nintendo's console's have at most an eigth the problems associated with the PS2/PS3 and 360, but that does'nt mean that problems are non-existent. Personally, I have all 3 systems and bought insurance for every one (my PS3 was used and I am on my 3rd 360). To me, an extra $40 on top of the overall price is not that big of a deal, I'd rather pay that then have to shell out another $300-$600 for a new system. The Wii does have a year through nintendo, so your covered for that at least. It depends onwhat the insurance would offer, would it cover just normal wear or would accidental damage (i.e. it gets dropped, something spills on it, etc) be covered as well. For me,the warrenty my company offers does cover accidental damage in addition to normal wear.Bottom line, whatever works for you, the Wii has no serious problems as far as I know, but i do work in retail and have had several returned for various reasons. Anyway, hope this helps and have a happy holidays and congratulations on securing a Wii.

No prob., how u liking the wii so far, what games did you get with it, if any?. The games I would reccommend are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, and Wiiplay if you meed an extra remote, plus it comes with 9 games, not a bad deal. Also, feel free to add my consle as a friend, my code is 3377 6966 4706 5454. To send me yours look under the adress book feature off of the liitle enevlope on the bottom right corner. That's all for now, happy holidays:D
