Is there any way on the Wii to talk to a friend that has the Wii, online, while I'm playing a game, and he's playing his? Like with the 360, you go to your buddy list, choose a friend to talk to, and you can do it from the dash, to the game, and back to the dash. Is this possible on Wii?

On a widescreen HDTV, does the Wii fill the screen?

Is that older style NES/SNES controller avaiable that i heard about last year? I haven't seen it on Amazon or anything (where I do 90% of my shopping).

For the memory unit, to save games, can you use your own memory card, or do you have to use the Nintendo brand? It looks like you can use your own, from the pictures I've seen.

Finally, does this thing have to be like the 360 and PS3, given plenty of room for airflow, or is it like virtually any other console, where you could have things right next to it, under it, etc?

Sorry if these have already been asked/answered before. I'm never on this board, and just searched through the last few pages of threads and didn't see anything. Thanks for the help guys!

online gaming isn't up on the wii just yet so nobody knows, also as or right now there hasn't been any hint (to my knowledge) about a mic for online gaming between players.

Let's see... any memory, you need an inch or two in the back for air, no chat yet but I expect one in the future, yes widescreen, and the Wiimote functions as an NES controller.  For other VC games, you can use a GCN controller or a classic controller attachment.

Ah. Sweet. I hope they do at least add a thing sometime down the line to let you talk with friends online while you play games. I'm fine with not playing with/against them on the Wii, but to talk would be nice. As a work around, I'll probably just have the 360 on, talk to my friend with the wireless mic, and play games on the Wii. The other things have pretty much sold me on getting the system. That, and the overwhelming desire I have to play Mario/Zelda.
